Dravidian University, Kuppam: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Dravidian University, situated in Gudupalli Mandalam (Kuppam), Andhra Pradesh, was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh through a Legislature Act (No.17 of 1997), with the initial support extended by the governments of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala. The primary objective of the university was to promote the development of Dravidian languages, literature, and cultures, thus paving the way for cultural and emotional integration of all the regions that carry forward the ancient historical torch of the nation. 

The university, which started with just two departments in 1999, has now grown into a strong institution with 27 academic departments and 4 centres. The University is an inter-state institution that integrates traditional knowledge systems and modern scientific approaches to provide quality education to its students. The university has been accredited with "B" Grade by NAAC in the year 2018 and stands in the range of 150-200 in the NIRF ranking. The university's campus is maintained clean and green, thanks to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which has been sanctioning funds for the same. This has helped the university achieve 9th place in the Swachh Campus Ranking at the National Level. The university is well-connected by road, rail, and air, making it easily accessible to students from different parts of the country. The University is located in a tri-lingual junction in the south-western tip of Andhra Pradesh at Kuppam, 8 k.m. from Tamil Nadu and 4 k.m. from Karnataka, a region historically known for its integrated character in terms of language and culture.
