Dravidian University, Kuppam Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

Libraries are a backbone of any civilized society and heart of any academic institution. Thus the central library at Dravidian University also acquires a prominent place among the students and faculty. The Dravidian University Library System consists of a Central Library support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the institution in general and to promote Dravidian studies especially in the fields of comparative Dravidian literature and translation studies, religion, culture and indigenous science and national integration in particular. All students, faculty members and employees of the institution are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking library membership.

The Computer Centre was established with UGC funds in the Basava Bhavan, Dravidian University, Kuppam housing state-of-the-art computing systems, with sophisticated software packages, and connected by a powerful high-speed network. The centre caters to the ever-increasing demands of high performance computing for academic programmes and research. The Computer Centre provides a central computing facility with Network Servers for all the students and staff of the University. It also offers possible assistance in conducting research, analyzing data, etc. for all the students and staff of the University. The Centre helps to develop human resources in the field of Information and Communication Technology.

There are separate Hostels for men on the Dravidian University Campus. There is limited accommodation for men hostels equipped with Wifi facility. All the students hailing from more than 20 k.m. radius of Dravidian University are eligible for Hostel Accommodation. However, admission will be given depending upon the distance of their hometown and based on the availability of accommodation.
