72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Commerce shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned, a course offered by Gopal Narayan Singh University, Rohtas.
Eligibility Criteria
The student should have passed the At least 55% marks in Master degree in Commerce (M.Com.)/Master of Finance and Control (M.F.C.)/ Master of Financial Management (MFM) / Master of Risk and Insurance Management (MRIM)/ Master of Financial Management (Risk & Insurance) (MFMRI)/Master of Foreign Trade (MFT)/Master of Business Management (M.B.M.), Master of Business Administration OR in allied areas namely, M.A. in Economics/ Psychology, Chartered Accountancy (C.A.) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India(I.C.A.I), Costs & Management Accountancy of the Institute of Costs Accountants of India (I.C.A.I.), the Company Secretary ship of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (I.C.S.I.).
Admission Details
1. All admissions to Ph.D. Programme in the Gopal Narayan Singh University shall be made through an All India Ph. D. Admission Test by the Gopal Narayan Singh University i.e., Gopal Narayan Singh University Ph.D. Admission Test (GPAT).
2. Admission to various Ph.D. programs under GPAT Exempted Category: A candidate who is qualified in a national level test such as National Eligibility Test (NETJRF), NT-LS (without fellowship), Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE), State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) accredited by UGC, shall be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. programme without appearing in the GPAT but they have to fill up the application form. They would be required to qualify in an interview to be eligible for consideration for registration for a Ph.D. in the concerned discipline.
