72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Journalism and Mass Communication shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned, a course offered by Gopal Narayan Singh University, Rohtas.
A Candidate should Masters in Journalism & Mass Communication (JMC). At least 55% in the aggregate or equivalent grade point average in the qualifying examination.
A candidate who is qualified in a national level test such as the National Eligibility Test (NETJRF), NT-LS (without fellowship), Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE), State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) accredited by UGC, shall be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. program without appearing in the GPAT but they have to fill up the application form. They would be required to qualify in an Interview to be eligible for consideration for registration for a Ph.D. in the concerned discipline.
