The Haridev Joshi University of Journalism and Mass Communication (HJUJ) is a state university established in 1996 through an Act of the Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha. HJUJ is named after an eminent former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Haridev Joshi, who was also a freedom fighter and a committed journalist in the tribal region of Banswara. HJUJ’s curriculum offers a combine theory and practices through its academic programmes, which are based on an interdisciplinary approach. This is a professional university dedicated to media academics. The courses offered at HJU provide a healthy mix of theoretical knowledge, technical skills and practical training in the various specialized areas of journalism and mass communication. HJUJ is recognised by UGC and approved by AICTE, Pharmacy Council and also approved by Bar Council.
