The Master of Business Administration is a master’s level program, leading to the grant of a degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA). The Master of Business Administration is a two-year, full-time residential program. The first year coursework is spread over three terms. It comprises core courses that explain the fundamental concepts of management across the different functional areas. The courses in the first year curriculum are mandatory for all the students. The first year coursework is followed by a summer internship. During the summer internship, students are required to work on an industry project with an organization for a period of eight to ten weeks. The summer placement is an integral part of the Master of Business Administration. The Placement Office assists the students in finding suitable summer assignments.

The second-year coursework is spread over the next three terms (Term IV to Term VI). The second-year students are offered elective courses across different functional areas such as marketing, finance, economics, strategy, decision sciences, analytics, information technology, organizational behaviour, human resources, operations & supply chain etc. The students can opt for elective courses based on their preferences, insofar as they fulfill the minimum credit requirements for the program. The participants who successfully fulfill all the requirements of the program are awarded the 'MBA Degree'.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons With Disability (PWD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of the Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. However, it may be noted that such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if they submit a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of their University/Institution (issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective IIM) stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate.

Admission for International students

The admission process under supernumerary quota for International students shall be conducted separately by the institute and shall have the following selection process:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification (from at least a three year programme) with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA/Grades from a recognized university/institute after at least 12 years of school education.
Valid GMAT/GRE Score (Taken within last 5 years)
International student is one who is not a citizen of India.

Admission Details

Admission to the MBA Programme at IIM Sirmaur shall constitute the following process:

CAT Examination (valid CAT score, as applicable)
Personal Presence Process (PPP): Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview, as per the shortlisting criteria mentioned in Table-1. The components of WAT and PI will be common to all the participating nine IIMs in the Common Admission Process, (CAP).
Announcement of the final selection/merit list on the basis of the composite score arrived at using weightages as per valid CAT scores, WAT and PI score,

Admission for Supernumerary seats for Girls students- The admission process under supernumerary quota for girl students shall be conducted separately by the Institute and shall have the following selection parameters:

The infrastructure at IIM Sirmaur is impressive and continually improving. The campus is nestled in the serene surroundings of Himachal Pradesh, providing a peaceful and conducive environment for learning. The hostels are comfortable.

College Infrastructure

IIM sirmaur has a beautiful campus surrounded by green trees and plants with a nice vibe. They have all the necessary facilities from WIFI, mess, hostel to smartboards, library etc. Living spaces are also well maintained and hygienic.
