The Master of Business Administration (Tourism Management) is a two-year full-time residential sectoral Program. Each academic year consists of three trimesters, leading to the granting of a Degree in MBA (Tourism Management). The first year of the program encompasses core courses that provide an understanding of the fundamental concepts of management theories and practices across different functional areas. The first-year coursework is mandatory for all students, followed by a summer internship for a period of six to eight weeks, during which students are required to work on tourism and related projects.

In the second year, students are offered sector specific core and elective courses to specialize in their domains of interest. Students can select their preferred elective courses, provided they fulfil the minimum credit requirements for the Program. Students who successfully fulfil all the requirements of the program are awarded the Degree in MBA (Tourism Management)

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons With Disability (PWD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of the Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. However, it may be noted that such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if they submit a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of their University/Institution (issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective IIM) stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate.

Admission for International students

The admission process under supernumerary quota for International students shall be conducted separately by the institute and shall have the following selection process:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification (from at least a three year programme) with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA/Grades from a recognized university/institute after at least 12 years of school education.
Valid GMAT/GRE Score (Taken within last 5 years)
International student is one who is not a citizen of India.
