Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh was established on May 1st, 2004 under the Government of Gujarat. The university is approved by UGC. It offers a total of 31 courses across all levels including diploma, UG, PG and doctoral levels. Students must follow the prescribed process of admission to get admission in any of these courses. The university also offers a large number of facilities for the ease and comfort of its students. The university also offers government and self-funded scholarships along with scholarships by UGC as well.

JAU Junagadh Admissions

Students willing to take admissions in any of the courses at JAU Junagadh must apply by filling the online application form. Students must apply and appear for GUJCET for admission to B.Tech courses. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of entrance test and merit of the qualifying examinations for PG admissions at JAU Junagadh and an entrance test followed by a round of interview is the admission process for the Ph.D admissions at the university.

Mumbai, BMR Foods and others visit the JAU Junagadh campus to conduct the placement drive. Before the interviews, the placement cell ensures that the students are well prepared for these interviews in order to record a high placement rate.

JAU Junagadh Facilities

JAU Junagadh has a host of facilities at the campus for the students to make their life comfortable and conducive to learning. The institute has separate hostels for boys and girls with facilities like  geysers, water purifiers and water coolers, and internet, among other things. With a well-equipped sports centre, swimming pool, a library with a wide collection of books, medical facilities, and many other things, the institute is very inclusive in itself. There is also a transport facility for all students and staff. There is also an auditorium that is available for students and staff to use.

Junagadh Agricultural University is located in University Bhavan, Opp, Moti Baug, Junagadh, Gujarat. The nearest airport from the university is the Rajkot Airport which is located 108.2 km away and students can reach the campus in about 2 hours 20 mins. The nearest railway station from JAU Junagadh is the Junagadh Junction Railway Station which is located 4.4 km away and students can reach the campus in about 13 mins.
