Karnataka Samskrit University was established in the year 2010 by the State Government of Karnataka by passing the Samskrita Vishwavidyalaya Act 2009 in the state Karnataka State Legislature. The university is also known as KSU. Karnataka Samskrit University is recognised by the University Grants Commission under the section 2f of the University Grants Commission Act. KSU courses are offered at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level.
