M.A in Economics two academic year intensive programme is designed in providing indispensable knowledge and training for well- qualified economist. This programme not only equipped in different branches of economics, it also establishes the platform for quantitative and qualitative applications, economic modeling and policy analysis. At the same time, this programme is worthwhile to the student in terms of effective understanding of subject, strong analytical provoking and inter-disciplinary nature. The overall envisage of the M.A Economics programme is to nurture the student in economic theory and practice and make them capable to solve the social and economic issues through their economic professional carrier and multi-dimensional economic research.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate who has passed the BA ( Economics one of the triple majors) Degree examination of Bangalore University or BA (Economics) of any other University as equivalent thereto and has secured not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate shall be eligible for admission to the course. In the case of SC/ST/Cat.-I students and blind students the minimum percentage of marks required shall be less by 5%.
Admission Details
- Admission will be based on the score secured in the qualifying exam and their performance in counseling.
- Selected applicants in the interview will be informed about the reporting date on the day of counselling. Admission formalities of submitting all available original documents and fees for the first year must be completed by the applicant on or before the reporting date. Otherwise, their admission will be cancelled.
