24 MonthsMaster of Arts (M.A.) in Politics and International Relations is a full-time two-year postgraduate course offered by the School of Gandhian Thought and Development Studies at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
This programme has been designed to equip students to teach and research in the frontier areas of Political Science and International Relations. The programme seeks to develop a high level of understanding of the contemporary political and social issues in their national and international contexts. It also aims to develop analytical skills in students that can be applied in a wide range of careers. Studies in Politics and International Relations are a vital part of an education for life and work in the contemporary world and combine well with other humanities and social science disciplines.
A candidate must have passed the BA in Economics/ Politics/ History/ Law with not less than 45% marks for Part III or B A in English/ Sociology/ Anthropology/ Psychology/ Geography/ Philosophy/ Commerce with 50% in Part III or B Sc in any branch with not less than 60% marks in Part III.
