24 MonthsMaster of Arts (M.A.) in Public Policy and Governance is a full-time two-year postgraduate course offered by the School of Gandhian Thought and Development Studies at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
This programme has been designed to equip students to take up a wide range of positions including teaching and research in the frontier areas of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations. The scope of Public Policy has expanded during last five decades as a result of the intervention of the state in the realm of society and economy across many nations. The locus of the Public Policy has shifted to the role of governments, international institutions and nongovernmental organizations. Students are expected to identify, explain, and apply key concepts and terms underlying Public Policy and Governance, in an interdisciplinary mode.
A candidate must have passed the BA in Economics/ Politics/ History/ Law with not less than 45% marks for Part III or B A in English/ Sociology/ Anthropology/ Psychology/ Geography/ Philosophy/ Commerce with 50% in Part III or B Sc in any branch with not less than 60% marks in Part III.
Admission will be on the basis of a Rank List Prepared as per the score obtained in the following categories.
