The Mandya University is a state university situated in Mandya, district of Karnataka, India which was established in 2019. It is a quite young institution, but over the years, it developed into one of the leading universities of the area. Mandya University, which has got the UGC approval, focuses on providing quality education with a scope of programmes in different fields. As of now, UCI offering 34 programmes that range from 11 different degrees in the field of education and career opportunities. Although annual enrollment numbers are not available, the university aims at offering education to students of different learning abilities within a mixed gender setting.

Mandya University has installed many resourceful amenities in order to facilitate the students and to supplement learning activities. A spacious cafeteria is one of the important items of the communicative environment, where students can gather and rest; fresh, varied, and healthy meals with consideration for the concept of the ‘’Green cafeteria’’ are provided. The hostel accommodations have been made separately for the male and female students and it has all the facilities like comfort etc. Such are student hostels; accommodation facilities which are well endowed with all the essential needs a student may require to undertake his studies without further preoccupations regarding other basics needs. The university also has Departmental laboratories as it is helpful in practical and research classes in many fields of science. The IT facilities of the university are highly developed and provide students with relevant technologies need for teaching and learning processes of the university. In this regard, this university has provided for the physically challenged students as part of considering the disabled in the in the education system. The institution also supports development of alumni association where students who are already placed can play a vital role of mentoring fresh talents.

Mandya University has diverse course presents where it provides full-blown programmes to learners across all the years of study with 34 courses. The existing ones include combinations of undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes fitting the different fields of study. The university offers full time programmes in arts, science, commerce and management. Notable postgraduate programmes include: M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Geography as well as Psychology, M.Com and MBA. The undergraduate programmes that are taught at the university include, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of commerce, Bachelor of business administration, Bachelor of computer applications, and Bachelor of Business Management. The different combinations include history economy political science sociology Kannada and so on which are offered by the BA programme to the students to enable the students to gain knowledge in their area of interest and the area of their choice in relation to their career paths. The combinations include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Sciences in the B.Sc programme. It is not clearly defined the number of seat to be offered for each course but the number of programmes offered shows that the university is willing to offer all programme to its students.

Mandya University follows principles of merit admission in each course but also provides certain guidelines on admission based on the course type. In most course offerings, probable admissions may well be grounded on the rating received in the qualifying examination. For instance, the B.Ed course may allow students to use their marks in an entrance examination or other tests that the state government and the university allow. The university does not recommend specific entrance exams, but it is known that many state universities allow applicants to use scores from state or national tests for entrance. Still, the admission process of the university is quite official and the institution is quite open for all the eligible candidates. However, details of the scholarships are not available at this time. Nevertheless, being a state university, there is also information that Mandya University may offer places for such programmes of governmental scholarships to deserving students. The university is relatively young and hence has not yet had the opportunity to build on the reputation of its graduates, as it progresses this will become an asset in the university as well as create vital links for the current students.
