The online application fee for general applicants is Rs. 500 + GST and Rs.250 + GST for SC/ST/PH/Women. Rs.600 + GST for General and Rs.300 + GST for SC/ST/PH/Women for offline applicants.

The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) offers specialty credentials in Adult Critical Care Specialist (RRT-ACCS), Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (RRT-NPS), Sleep Disorders Specialist (CRT-SDS & RRT-SDS), Pulmonary Function Technology (CPFT and RPFT), Clinical Simulation (RRT) and Therapist Multiple-Choice (CRT).
Candidates may attempt the Therapist Multiple-Choice and Clinical Simulation Examinations three times, after which the candidate will be required to wait for a minimum of 120 days between any subsequent attempt. For the specialty credentialing examinations, including Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty, Pulmonary Function Technology, Adult Critical Care Specialty Examinations, and Sleep Disorders Specialty, candidates may attempt the exam two times, after which candidate will be required to wait at least 180 days before sitting for the exam again.
The pass rate of NBRC may vary every year. According to the previous year, the pass rate for the Therapist Multiple-Choice examination for new candidates is 80.5% for low cut, high cut 71.5% and for repeat candidates, low cut is 48.9%, high cut is 30.1%. For the Clinical Simulation examination for new candidates is 67.2% and for repeat candidates 53.8%. For the Pulmonary Function Technology examination for new candidates is 71.7% for low cut, high cut 34.2% and for repeat candidates, low cut is 70.9%, high cut is 31.8%. For the Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist examination for new candidates is 75.0% and for repeat candidates 54.8%. The Sleep Disorders Specialist examination for new candidates is 79.2% and for repeat candidates 77.8%. Adult Critical Care Specialist examination for new candidates is 69.0% and for repeat candidates 50.0%.
