National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The Institute has a seven-storied hostel building with fully furnished 52 double occupancy rooms AC and non-AC. Besides the participants and guests to NIEPA, the hostel facilities are also extended to educationists visiting Delhi, depending upon the availability of space. In addition, the campus also has Vice-Chancellor's Bungalow and a residential apartment for the faculty and Staff.

The library is equipped with modern teaching and learning aids, computer facilities, and electronic facilities such as WiFi. All in-house activities in the Library, including Acquisition, Cataloguing, Circulation, and Serials Control are fully computerized using the latest version of the Libsys7 Software Package. The library, presently, has a total of 55,513 book documents and 6,435 animals besides a nice collection of reports of International Seminars and conferences, organized by International Agencies like UNO, IJNDP, UNESCO, OLED, 11O, Unicef, wood Bank, etc. The Library also receives 240 journals and magazines, txt national and international, in the area of educational planning, administration, management, and other allied fields. NUEPA Library is also subscribing to three online journal databases to users like JSTOR, ELSEVIER, and SAGE. The Documentation Centre of NUEPA has about 18,50o volumes composing a unique collection of Official Reports, Central and State Government publications, Educational surveys, Five-year plans, Census reports, etc. The Documentation Centre also has very important international Reports.s & surveys on Education which are much needed in educational research and policymaking. Collection development is a core activity of the library. It has undergone remarkable changes in the last decade due to the increasing demands of users for e-resources. The NIEPA library has also changed its collection development strategy. The library currently subscribes to over 80% of its journals in both print and online formats. However, the books are still preferred in print only. The NIEPA library has a rich collection of books, journals, and e-resources on educational planning and management. Besides, the library also has a good country collection of books in the areas of education and its allied disciplines. The library subscribes to more than 170 current national and international journals and popular reading magazines.

The Computer Center-backs up the Information Technology needs of the Institute. It provides computing facilities and Internet services to all the trainees and staff members of the National Institute. Network facilities have been provided to all the faculty and staff members to access and share the Resources. Individual email accounts have been provided to all the faculty and staff members on NIEPA.AC.IN Domain. 1 GBPS internet connectivity through network connections and high-speed internet connectivity through Wi-Fi is provided to all the faculty members of the Institute. Wi-Fi internet connectivity is provided on all the floors in the hostel adjoining the NIEPA office building. Desktop computers have been provided to all the staff members and laptops to all faculty members. Appropriate network security is being maintained in the Institute. The Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art computing facilities, which include IBM E-Series Server connected over a high-speed Ethernet connection. The present infrastructure consists of enhanced CAT 6 cabling; centralized computing facility, consisting of high-performance servers and client PCs; uplink to the internet and other services; appropriate power back-up facility through heavy-duty multiple UPS.members and laptops to all faculty members. Appropriate network security is being maintained in the University. The Centre is equipped with state-of-art computing facilities, which include IBM F-Series Server connected over a fast Ethernet. The present infrastructure consists of Enhanced CAT 6 cabling; centralized computing facility consisting of high-performance e servers and client PCs; Uplink to the Internet and other services: Adequate power backup through heavy-duty multiple UPS.

The university has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff. Wi-Fi internet connectivity is provided on all the floors in the hostel adjoining to the NIEPA office building.
