Lateral entry requires a diploma in that particular field. They release forms for lateral entry and then you need to apply for that. On the basis of marks and merit you will be selected and can get your entry in nift.

National Institute of Design is a Design institute offering B.Des and M.Des course.
National Institute of Fashion Technology is a fashion design and Management Institute offering B.Des, BF Tech, M.Des, MFTech courses.

If you asking about Boards cutoffs then let me clarify you, NIFT has nothing to do with Boards cutoffs. You just need a Passing certificate.

Coming to cutoffs for NIFT then different NIFT has different Closing ranks. Delhi and Bengaluru being top choice. (1 to 100)

Admission to B.F.Tech and B.Des in NIFT solely depends on Entrance exam. You can take admission in Pearl Academy. Pearl Academy will conduct the entrance exam 2020 in January, April, May, June and July.

INIFD offers BSc in Fashion designing and Interior Designing. Admission in based on the marks obtained

The criteria for admission to B.F.Tech and B.des programme is done on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam. You just need to pass your 10+2 with a decent score and appear for the exam. There is no admission in NIFT through boards marks. But admission to certification
