B.Tech Food Technology is a four-year full-time course of Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Hyderabad and course is approved by ICAR.

In each course, 33 % of the seats shall be reserved in favour of women candidates from each category. And 85% of the seats are reserved for local candidates and 15% of seats are un-reserved.

Eligibility Criteria

A pass in two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with the following subjects namely:

Physical Sciences
Mathematics

A candidate should have studied in a Non-Municipal Area for at least four years between 1 st class to Intermediate or its equivalent.

Minimum ONE acre of land either in the name of the parents or in the name of the candidates. If the land is owned by grandfather, grandmother or guardian or any other relations is not acceptable.

The candidates for admission to these courses shall be required to have completed 17 years of age with an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates, 25 years in respect of SC and ST candidates and 27 years for Physically Handicapped candidates as on 31st December of the year of admission.

Admission Details

The selection of candidates for all the seats shall be made on the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in Telangana State EAMCET in their respective local areas out of the merit list prepared for this purpose. The candidates will be selected based on merit by following rule of reservation.
