RK University, Rajkot was established in 2011 and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and the Unapproved Course. The university offers a variety of courses in multiple fields at four levels: diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral. To be eligible for admission to a particular course, candidates must meet the RK University eligibility criteria and appear for the relevant entrance examination, such as GATE, GPAT, GUJCET, CMAT, CAT, MAT, NEET, or NESLET.

Admission to RK University is based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination and the candidate's performance in their previous academic records. The university has a separate placement cell on campus that handles all placement activities. The placement cell acts as a bridge between the students and the companies. RK University provides a variety of facilities on campus for students and staff.
