Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University is a public university inaugurated by the then honorable chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr.Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy in 2005. The varsity is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is also known as SVVU Tirupati. The university has a total of 53 faculty members. The campus of the varsity has plenty of facilities for students. The facilities at the campus are modern and upgraded. Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University facilities are a library that has adequate books and reading materials, separate boys and girls hostels for the accommodation of students etc. The hostels at the campus are well furnished and equipped with basic facilities.
