NTR College of Veterinary Science, Gannavaram, was established in the year 1998. Located in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, this is one of the reputed constituent colleges. The institution is set over an area of 108 acres and imparts courses in veterinary education and research. The college offers 19 courses across 3 degrees with a total of 506 enrolments. It has a faculty strength of 71 dedicated professionals to maintain an excellent student-faculty ratio that allows the students to get personalised attention and quality education. Being co-educational, it provides gender diversity in the veterinary sciences.
Full-time programmes are conducted at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The college has modern facilities to cater to the requirements of its academic pursuits. Courses NTR College of Veterinary Science has a wide array of courses, from Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry to various M.V.Sc. specialisations and Ph.D.s in Animal Sciences. B.V.Sc. & A.H. is the flagship course with an annual enrolment of 75 students. The postgraduate programmes cover areas like animal genetics and breeding, livestock products technology, poultry science, and different veterinary specialities. All courses are full-time and aimed at providing in-depth knowledge and practical skills necessary for a successful career in veterinary science and animal husbandry.

The admission process to the programmes offered by NTR College of Veterinary Science is different at all levels. In the B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme, 85% of the seats will be filled on a state quota basis according to their rankings in AP EAMCET; there is a provision of a 25% reservation for applicants coming from farming families. Fifteen percent will be allotted by the Veterinary Council of India. Postgraduate admissions are mainly open to Andhra Pradesh residents; allotment of seats is based on the entrance examination conducted by Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University.
