72 MonthsPh.D. programme in Journalism and Mass Communication shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned and it is offered by Vidya University, Meerut.
Eligibility Criteria
- A Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication or a related field (such as Media Studies, Communication Studies or Public Relations) from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 55% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade) at the postgraduate level.
- For reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD), universities often allow a relaxation of 5%, requiring 50% aggregate marks.
Admission Details
- Vidya Research Aptitude Test (VRAT) - a written test conducted by the University.
- The applicant must appear for an Interview/ presentation to be considered for admission.
