Jindal Institute of Education, Meerut, is an esteemed institute oriented toward preparing teachers with a quality education. The institute is duly approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) with a wide admission procedure meant for such aspirants.  The admission cycle at Jindal Institute of Education is usually conducted within the timelines of the academic calendar of its parent university. The institute largely runs the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program-a two-year full-time course. 

The B.Ed program requires certain eligibility criteria for admission. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with a 50% aggregate. Alternatively, applicants, having a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology with specializations in Mathematics and Science with at least 55% marks, should be eligible to apply. For 50% of the total seats, selection is based on performance in an entrance examination held by the affiliated university. The rest of the remaining 50% seats are under the management quota for direct admission to the institute.

Application Process

The application process for admission to the Jindal Institute of Education, Meerut, consists of the following steps:

1. Entrance Exam: The candidates shall sit for the entrance test held by the affiliated university. This test will apply to 50% of the total seats.

2. Application Form: For the university quota seats, candidates are required to fill out an application form of the affiliated university, after the entrance exam.

3. Management Quota Application: For the management quota seats, candidates can directly apply to the institute. The admission forms for these seats can be obtained from the institute.

4. Submission of Required Documents: All required documents must be submitted by applicants, including:

• 10th and 12th mark sheets
• Graduation/ Post-graduation mark sheets (as applicable)
• Entrance exam score card (for university quota seats)
• Any other certificates or documents specified by the institute

5. Selection Process: For university quota seats, selection shall be done on the basis of the entrance exam. For management quota seats, the admission would be considered on merit, that is in order of receipt of the application.

6. Counseling and Seat Allotment: Successful candidates may be called for counseling wherein the actual allotment of seats will be done.

7. Fee Payment: The students selected shall have to pay the required fees for securing their admission.

8. Document Verification: Before finalizing the admission, the institute will follow up on verifying the documents of all admitted candidates.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education): This B.Ed program is the flagship program of the Jindal Institute of Education, designed for 100 students ready to become teachers. Admission to this program is based on entrance exam performance organized by the university for 50% of the seats for others under management quota where direct admission occurs.

Eligibility criteria for B.Ed:

1. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
2. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology, with specialization in Mathematics and Science, with at least 55% marks, is acceptable.
