HELLO,
You must have passed an undergraduate degree from any institution recognized by law in india or candidates who have diploma in UG design from NIFT/NID ONLY are elgible ..
I would say that NIFT is better then NID because in NIFT, one can get better experience and learning about fashion , also the exposure is quite good.It has also collaboration with world's best fashion institutions, the thing is
. NIFT is only for fashion technology and in NID u will get lots of good stream.
HOPE THIS HELP!

Further, you can check previous year's cutoff to get an exact idea about your choice of course and the course rank required for admission in all the metropolitan and other cities too.

Hey,
It would definitely be preferable if you opt for a 3 year degree in fashion designing than a diploma. It will give you a bit more exposure.
JD institute is good but there are many other institutes in Delhi which are ranked better. At the end of the day most importantly your skills matter on terms of everything but your college plays a vital role in shaping your career.
Here is the list of some more institutes/colleges in Delhi NCR which you can opt for a good career in fashion designing. https://design.careers360.com/colleges/list-of-fashion-design-colleges-in-delhi

NIFT Delhi boasts a modern and well-equipped campus that provides a conducive environment for creativity and learning. The infrastructure is designed to meet the needs of aspiring fashion professionals, with state-of-the-art facilities that cater to every aspect of design education. The campus houses spacious classrooms, design studios, and well-stocked libraries. The design studios, in particular, are equipped with the latest technology, sewing machines, and pattern-making tools, which are essential for hands-on learning. The fabric library is extensive, giving students access to a wide variety of materials to experiment with. The campus also features well-maintained hostels, canteens, and recreational areas, ensuring that students can maintain a balance between academic and personal life. The campus is located in the heart of Delhi, which further adds to its appeal, offering students easy access to major fashion events, exhibitions, and industry hubs. The campus's aesthetics are modern and professional, fostering an atmosphere that promotes creativity and innovation. However, with its heavy focus on practical work, there could be an increased emphasis on upgrading and expanding certain areas, especially as the institution continues to grow. Overall, the infrastructure at NIFT Delhi supports the learning needs of students and helps them prepare for the competitive world of fashion.
The college infrastructure is great. The library is really good and has air conditioning. the college doesnt have sports centre or hostel. the canteen served food is fine. but there is not much cleanliness in the canteen. overall the college is fine except some issues.
Overall infrastructure is good, has a library, a resource center. One can get a good resource that is not available outside the campus, for examples books and magazines that are not available outside at any bookstore
