Om College of Education, Sonepat, is a prominent teacher training institute at Khandrai, Gohana, Sonipat District of Haryana State. The college has affiliation with Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa, and is NCTE accredited.
The process of admission in Om College of Education is merit-based and as per the policies defined by the state government, UT Administration, and the concerned university. The institute provides two principal programs: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Education (D.Ed). Admissions to these programs are extremely competitive and are designed to choose the most meritorious students.
For the B.Ed course, admissions are strictly made on the basis of marks secured in the entrance examination or by performance in the entrance test. Similarly, the D.Ed course takes a similar line, with admissions strictly made on merit basis, as calculated by the scores achieved by the candidates in the entrance examination and/or performance in the entrance test.
Application Process
The process of application for admission to Om College of Education, Sonepat, is as follows:
1. Notification: The college issues an admission notification on its website and in the local newspaper, inviting applications for the B.Ed and D.Ed courses.

7. Fee Payment: Candidate students have to pay the recommended fees to finalise their admission within the agreed time limit.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
The two-year full-time B.Ed course offered by Om College of Education has a sanctioned intake of 200 seats. Admission into the B.Ed course is made on the basis of merit, which is decided by the marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or by performance in the entrance test. The process of selection is guided by the policies established by the state government, UT Administration, and the affiliated university. Candidates who are eligible need to have their bachelor's degree or equivalent from a known university.
D.Ed (Diploma in Education):
The D.Ed course is a two-year program with an approved intake of 50 seats. Admission to the program is also merit-based, taking into account the marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or performance in the entrance test. The process of selection is according to the norms laid down by the state government and UT Administration. Candidates with 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board are eligible to apply for the D.Ed course.
