As a IT student at St Joseph's, the college is 30+ years old but they updating everything. From my first day, infrastructure totally changed day to day! Now got all facilities like labs, hostels, good classrooms. Its really improved a lot and looks modern now.

Academics here is always top. Professors are very helpful for scoring high marks in exams and they mentoring for hackathons too. Because of them I am branch topper till sem 4. The teaching quality is really good and supportive
Placements
Placements in our college is good, many opportunities available and companies come for hiring. I am not worried about getting a job, I think I will get easy if I keep working hard. The record is pretty decent for IT students.

Placements of BCA at MIT Meerut do not look good as they are subpar. Not more than 25–30% of students are able to secure jobs through the campus drives. The best salary that was offered is about 3.5 LPA while the average salary remains to be almost 2 LPA which is not very encouraging.

Library huge, access to journals and online stuff, WiFi covers most areas. Hostels okay but old, mess food simple. Campus 215 acres green, sports ground helps relax. Some buildings need AC fix, hot in Nagpur. Fine for research work.

Academics for PhD CSE strong, guides mostly PhDs with experience in networks, ML. Coursework first year, then deep research, seminars. Strict on progress, but flexible if publish papers. Funding for conferences if you ask. Not like IIT but good for NIT, helps build publications. Some profs busy, need to chase them. Overall, pushes you to learn real stuff.

Placements for PhD not like BTech, focus on faculty jobs or postdocs. Many get assistant professor roles in colleges, average pay 8-10 LPA start. Postdoc opps under Visvesvaraya scheme, stipend 50k plus. Industry R&D in companies like Infosys if you network. Depends on your thesis, no campus drive really. Better for academia path.

The campus is very small with walking space, however, the infrastructure is good with well-equipped labs and a great library. The classrooms are clean and air-conditioned. It is a 5-floor building with a lift, and water purifiers are present on each floor. Cleanliness is maintained very well.

Most teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, but only a few of them are actually helpful. The curriculum is relevant to the industry. Two exams are held each semester, excluding the practicals. The exams are moderately hard, with 35% as the passing mark.

The placements are good, with most students securing a job in the 3rd year itself. Few opt for higher studies, while 90% of students get placed. The highest on-campus placement is 25 LPA, with 5–6 LPA as the average package for the IT department.

So when you are in your first year mainly you will mainly get double accommodation rooms, and when you go into the second year, you will get single rooms. Chair, Table, Almirah, Wall book track, will get in the room. Mess food is okay, you will get 4 meals, and the menu is different every day.

In the LL.B. course, all are law subjects, not like the Integrated B.A. LL.B. course where half is law subject and half is graduation subject until the 3rd year. Faculty members are good, like if any new amendments on new case laws come, they will discuss that in class, and exam timing is also good.

This college conducts 2 exams per semester, one is the mid examination and the other is the end examination. The mid exam consists of 20 marks, and the end exam consists of 40 marks. The remaining 40 marks are for internals, which include lab tests, viva, quizzes, and assignment submission.

Last year, the placements are so good. The average package on campus is 6 LPA, and the highest is 27 LPA, but the highest package ever received by any student in this college is 1.2 CPA. The course from which students are getting these packages is the CSE (AI) branch
