The curriculum was revised recently and now includes AI, IoT, and VLSI design alongside basics like circuits and signals, which matches current industry trends. We also get hands-on lab work and minor projects each semester. For job readiness, the college runs aptitude classes, coding bootcamps, and core placement training. It builds a good base, but you still need internships and extra certifications to be truly industry-ready.

The overall quality of placements at my college is good, especially for CSE, IT and ECE branches. In the last batch, around 80-85% of eligible students got placed. Core branches like Mechanical and Civil had fewer companies, with 50-60% placement. The highest package offered was 18 LPA by a product-based company to a CSE student. The average salary across branches was 5.5 LPA, while CSE/IT averaged 6.8 LPA and core branches around 4 LPA. The placement process was mostly smooth. The placement cell conducted aptitude training, mock interviews, and resume sessions from 3rd year itself, which was very helpful. They were supportive during drives and shared timely updates. The only drawback was that most high-paying roles were for software profiles, so core students had limited options.

We have an annual tech fest and cultural fest that are well-organized. The student crowd is diverse and mostly friendly. Most teachers are approachable outside class, and support staff like lab assistants and hostel wardens are helpful. The college is located on the city outskirts, so it’s peaceful but you need transport for the city. Campus feels safe with security at gates and CCTV in main areas. There’s a medical room with a nurse on campus, and tie-ups with nearby hospitals for emergencies, so basic handling is covered.
