The campus is spread over a vast, greenery-filled area in Palakkad. For Mechanical Engineering, the workshops and labs are excellent, featuring well-maintained machinery like lathes, CNC machines, and specialized thermal engineering equipment. The Central Library is one of the best, with a massive collection of journals and technical books. While the hostels are older, they provide a decent living environment with basic amenities and a strong sense of community. The high-speed Wi-Fi is available in specific blocks, and the sports facilities, including the football ground, are well-utilized.

I choose Mechanical Engineering at NSSCE because of the department's long-standing reputation. The faculty members are highly qualified, many with PhDs and decades of teaching experience. The curriculum follows the KTU (APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University) standards, which are regularly updated to include modern industry trends. The teaching quality is rigorous, focusing heavily on both theoretical depth and practical workshop sessions, making us quite ready for core engineering roles.

The placement cell at NSSCE is very proactive. While many students get placed in top IT firms like TCS, Infosys, and Cognizant, there is a significant effort to bring in core companies like MRF, V-Guard, and various public sector undertakings. Typically, around 70-80% of eligible students get placed. The average salary package revolves around 4-5 LPA, with higher packages reaching up to 10-12 LPA for standout candidates. The college also provides training for interviews and aptitude tests.

Campus life is the soul of NSSCE. The annual techno-cultural fest, Dyuksha, is a massive event that brings out the best in students. There are numerous technical cells and hobby clubs (like SAE and IEEE) that keep the campus buzzing. The location in Palakkad is peaceful, safe, and easily accessible. The bond between seniors and juniors is very strong, creating a supportive network that lasts long after graduation.

College is located far away from main city, it surrounded by villages no Wi-Fi available, library was fine it have all kind of books, some classrooms have projector. MBA hostel is under construction we stayed in flats. Canteen food is very bad not tasty. Sports games are very limited.

In this college most those student take administrative you want to do dustance learning. I dont like the faculty because they are not supportive. They are partial tot he distance learning students. We do not have 75% attendance mandatory. Course curriculum is outdated there is very difference in curriculum and industrial wants we can not bridge through this curriculum.

No placements, hardly any company come and hire few 10 students most of students placed in off campus drives, college label them they placed by us very cheap thing. Package is 3lpa. No internship was given to us. 3 students placed in shriram finance as a management trainee at 2.95lpa through it walk in drive. Here students who are already working and want to complete post graduation degree take admission.

The infrastructure of the hostel is pretty good. Each room of the hostel is shared by three students. Each room has two beds, two chairs, two tables and two cupboards. The admission of hostel is based on the merit of the students, hence one have to secured average marks for getting hostel. One should have to pay rent of 2k for hostel room. After completion of each semester I. e. after each six months students have to pay rent to the hostel room. The cost of meal is not included in this fee structure. Students have to pay separately for the meal for each month. The meal provided by hostel is of average quality

The faculty of the College Of Agriculture, Pune is of very good quality. Each teacher had done PhD in their subjects. The teachers are supportive in nature and always try to solve the problems and queries of the students. The teaching method of teachers is different hence students have to adjust to their teaching method. As per the new updated syllabus, the last semester students have to visit the industries. Firstly they have to complete the village attachment and then they have to complete the unit attachment.

As when I was studing there were hardly any placement, but now the companies like Mahindra, etc. visited the college. The students are hired by these companies and the package of the job depends upon the performance of the students. Also, the students have job opportunities in the agriculture sector such as Agri banking, Agri MPSC, etc.

The infrastructure of our college is not good. Our college has less space and a congested area. Our college also runs a school in that small area, and there is no space for sports. Earlier there was a swimming pool, but now it has been converted into a garden. It is totally a waste of money and time to study here.

Some of the faculty members here are good, but some of them don't have knowledge about their subject matter. However, internships provided helps students to get to know more about corporate life. But the highlight is the Campus Immersion Program I spent a week living on the beautiful campus to complete the Bloomberg certifications courser (Tech students do the computer Integrated Program) Being there in person and using the university facilities made the experience feel very premium.

The curriculum is very well structured for someone with a busy schedule. we have live classes on Microsoft Teams every Saturday and Sunday (2:30 PM to 8:30 PM/ 9:30 PM) One of the biggest reliefs is that the college gives us 3 months to submit assignments, so we don't have to rush. The LMS is loaded with E - PDFs and practice assessments that actually reflect the exam pattern helping me score well. Plus, the OEBS proctored exam system is great because you can choose your own date and time for the tests.
