The teachers in the college were good they all are highly qualified with phd etc. Class are mainly on the basis of theory also students were compulsory to do at least one group project in last semester. So, academics were good in this college.

The placement cell were not good. They need to improve placement opportunities. There are some companies came and gone i think 20 percentage of students were only placed. They don't give placement trainings also.

The college is well connected by public transport from both Sodepur and Madhyamgram, making it accessible for students from nearby areas. The college is awarded grade 'A' by NAAC( National Assessment and Accreditation Council). Although the college still has room for some improvement but it is still a good college for learning in the area.

In Acharya Prafulla Chandra college so many stream option are available. And the courses are generally reasonable and good career options are there. Mathematics, Computer Science are available in the college.

As I study a normal degree ( BA honours) so I don't really know about placement from the college but the courses are good. We have human development, education, philosophy which are good course and has good teacher.

The good faculty members used projectors and practical examples to explain concepts and guided us whenever needed. One more thing was that during the initial semesters, some teachers suggested taking external coaching to score better in internals, which many students found unnecessary.

Out of a large number of students, only a limited group received offers, and most students had to search for opportunities on their own. A few talented students managed to secure better roles through off-campus drives.

Our college, compared to other DU colleges has good infrastructure, a good library, open spaces, a good auditorium, swings, even classrooms are good. A few things like canteen and wi-fi need work. Recently, a few classrooms got upgraded with smart boards too. Maintainance and cleanliness is great, one of the most beautiful campuses of DU.

I am studying B.Voc Healthcare Management, its a vocational course. Students doing this course are studying a blend of biology and management. They are doing internships regularly, which makes them Job- ready. Although, this course is comparatively new and needs more work to be done.
Placements
Placement is average with a package of 4-5 LPA for the best, topper students. Most of the students go for masters or higher degrees. I think more work can be done for getting better placements for the students of the college as the students have a lot of potential but less opportunities.

Hmm, compared to engineering colleges, I really wish we had an option of hostels here. The campus life is great nonetheless as the college offers various activities including various sports including- cricket, basketball, handball, athletics and how can I forget, football (JMC is famous for it's football team). There are so many societies too including Enactus, E-cell, NSS, NCC and various others which are really engaging. One of the most amazing things about the campus is that it is very safe as it is in an- Embassy area.

I remember the campus being quite spacious and spread out, which was a nice change from the cramped city colleges I had seen. The sheer size of the property, shared with the other Pailan institutions, was impressive and gave me a sense of a true campus environment. The classrooms were functional but not particularly modern or aesthetically pleasing. I feel that while the outer campus was huge, the specific infrastructure for the Computer Applications program could have been significantly better to support the curriculum. The surrounding greenery was definitely a plus point.

My experience with the academic delivery was generally positive, especially thanks to a few dedicated professors. I found the curriculum to be reasonably up-to-date for the time, covering essential programming languages and concepts that I utilize even now.

The placement scenario when I graduated in 2010 was certainly a major weak point of my college experience. I saw that only a small fraction of my batchmates managed to secure jobs through the official campus placement cell. I am an AIML student at BMSCE, and the academic experience has been average. Some faculty teaches concepts clearly, but a few rely too much on slides, which makes classes feel less interactive. The AIML curriculum covers the core subjects like ML,Python, data structures, and neural networks, but it doesn't always include the latest industry trends.You often need to learn new tools and frameworks on your own to stay updated. While the foundation is decent, becoming job ready requires extra efforts through projects, online courses, and hands on practise.

Placements at BMSCE are quite good, especially for CS,ISE and AIML students. A decent amount of good companies visit the campus. The percentage of students placed is decent but it has dropped in recent years. The average package is decent, though it varies depending on the department. The biggest factor is maintaining the CGPA therefore a extra effort is required.

For my course when I graduated, the placement scenario was unfortunately extremely poor, which is why I must give it a very low rating. I recall there being virtually no dedicated campus recruitment drives or a structured placement cell for general science graduates like me. Most of my batch mates, including myself, had to actively look for jobs or prepare for higher studies completely on our own. I honestly felt that the college did very little to bridge the gap between us, the final year students, and potential employers.

There were very few extra-curricular activities or student clubs for me to join and truly engage in. I remember the common room was a place for informal gatherings, but structured events were rare throughout the year. The annual college fest and Saraswati Puja were the only major social highlights that I looked forward to.
