The Aircraft Stability and Control programme by Swayam is designed to help the candidates understand what features to include in the aircraft so that it remains statically stable. The online course will cover aircraft manoeuvres extensively and go into the finer details about aircraft flying.

There are three main pillars of the Indian Education Policy; Access, Quality, and Equity, and Swayam has the objective of achieving it all through its Online Platform to provide free learning of the entire curriculum from Class 9 level up to Post-Graduation. The programme is named ‘Swayam’ to hint at the self-efficient and self-learning nature of the initiative. It promises to bridge the digital gap among the digitally unhinged masses of students, even those who’re underprivileged and deprived of digital exposure and knowledge.

Lighter-than-Air (LTA) systems were once a significant part of Aerospace Engineering, which used to be technological developments’ forefront until the late 1930s when it got shoved into oblivion. However, this subject was finally revived during the mid-1980s when people regained interest in such long endurance applications that consume low fuel. Therefore, the Lighter than Air Systems program enlightens students about this field, its fundamentals, and presents a holistic overview of LTAs. 

The Lighter than Air Systems certification syllabus lasts 12 weeks, covering one topic every week. These include LTA systems’ background, developed airships, historical perspectives, static lift estimations, airship design methodologies, aerostat design methodology, and more. Swayam delivers this curriculum through CDEEP’s in-class video lectures, which IIT Bombay’s Professor Rajkumar S. Pant had delivered in 2015.

Swayam and IIT Madras present the Rocket Propulsion certification course, an ongoing 12-week elective program specializing in rockets, rocket propulsion, and its modern trends. An undergraduate/postgraduate-level curriculum familiarises candidates with rockets’ fundamental aspects. The training describes motion in space, what rockets require to place space-crafts in various orbits, and escaping a planet’s gravitational field. 

The Rocket Propulsion certification syllabus then proceeds with teaching about a solid propellant’s design aspects, operating principles, liquid propellants, various other rocket types, etc. core topics. An AICTE-approved FDP curriculum, this course is targeted towards Ph.D./ME/BE/MSc aspirants. It requires no prior experience in this program’s domains, which are Propulsion and Aerospace Engineering. 

The Rocket Propulsion training also features recognition amongst HAL, DRDO, ISRO, Defense and Space-related industries, enabling course-takers to pursue employment in these sectors. The Aircraft Propulsion online course is a 12 weeks online program provided by Swayam, an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. This Aircraft Propulsion training covers the gas power cycles used in aviation propulsion. As a result, many types of aircraft engines, their performance, parts, and characteristics are discussed. The course is focused on cycle analysis and its various attachments for improvisation. Furthermore, the Aircraft Propulsion syllabus covers several aircraft engine components such as the turbines, compressor, nozzle, combustor, and more.

Fundamentals of Theoretical and Experimental Aerodynamics is an undergraduate and postgraduate level online course offered by  IIT Kharagpur. The programme is a 12-week long core certification programme with the approval and recognition of AICTE. Basically, the course is offered as a free programme and the learners can join the programme free of cost. However, Swayam, the online course provider by the Indian Government,  demands a fee from the learners to get a hold of certification after the Fundamentals of Theoretical and Experimental Aerodynamics Certification. 

Fundamentals of Theoretical and Experimental Aerodynamics Certification Course, offered by Swayam, discusses the conceptual and practical understanding of aerodynamics, principles of aerodynamics and fundamentals of aerodynamics. The course on aerodynamics will prepare the learners to get started with the advanced aerodynamics programmes. Fundamentals of Theoretical and Experimental Aerodynamics Certification by Swayam is prepared under the guidance and supervision of Prof. Arnab Roy of  IIT Kharagpur. 

Satellite Attitude Dynamics and Control is an AICTE-approved FDP online programme offered by Swayam. The online programme is a 12-week elective course in association with IIT Kharagpur. The system is free of cost for anyone who wants to explore aerospace engineering and the learners will have to pay the fee and appear for the proctored exam to get hold of the certificate. 

Provided by Swayam, Satellite Attitude Dynamics and Control Certification Course will shed light on rotational kinematics, satellite attitude dynamics, attitude control in satellite communication,  attitude control system, and the like. The course is meant for learners who are at the level of undergraduate or postgraduate. Satellite Attitude Dynamics and Control Certification by Swayam is developed and instructed by  Prof. Manoranjan Sinha, a professor at IIT Kharagpur. 

The Design of fixed-wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles online course is offered by the online course provider Swayam, an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The 8 weeks AICTE approved undergraduate/postgraduate level elective course includes 2 credit points. This Design of fixed-wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles training presents the basic sizing and design process for fast expanding fixed-wing UAV technology, as well as prototype testing, stability, and performance analysis. The Design of fixed-wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles syllabus introduces basic design parameters, design algorithm, and simulation. 

The Introduction to Airplane performance online course is an 8 weeks program offered by Swayam, an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. This course is intended to give an integrated basic study of airplane performance as well as a sense of flight testing and aircraft design. The Introduction to Airplane performance syllabus covers various topics such as airplane performance characteristics, standard atmosphere, the thrust required, range and endurance, cruise and manoeuvre, landing performance, control and stability, design basics, etc.

The ‘Vibration and Structural Dynamics’ program is a National Program for Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) online course provided by the Swayam online education portal for the students associated with aerospace engineering and advanced mechanics. This course is developed by the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

The online course is offered for eight weeks for undergraduate-level students. The course instructors for this program are Dr. Mira Mitra, an associate professor from the department of aerospace engineering along with two other teaching assistants. The course provides valuable insights on the technical aspects of solving industrial problems through the four modules in this course.

The ‘Vibration and Structural Dynamics’ training program is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and enables the students to earn two credit points for this core online course. The candidates of this online program will receive a course completion certificate which consists of the logos of NPTEL and IIT Kharagpur for authentication.

Swayam hosts the Introduction to Experiments in Flight online course at the undergraduate level. It is a course in aerospace engineering and flight mechanics spread across four weeks of extensive instructor-led learning. 

In the Introduction to Experiments in Flight certification syllabus, you will learn how to conduct various aircraft experiments to determine specific parameters. As such, you'll build a robust foundation in designing aircraft experiments. 

The Introduction to Experiments in Flight certification course combines theoretical and practical learning seamlessly. This is because the concepts you cover during the online video lectures will be demonstrated practically from inside the aircraft cockpit by the course instructor.
