You have an average academic background and as you know these parameters are used with different weightages by different colleges. In order to cover up that loss you will need to aim for a very high percentile.

  • For top IIMs like IIM A, B, C  you need to scirevabive 99.7 percentile in order to get a call. Even after scoring that there is no story about a call as IIM A has a min score criteria with all.the parameters excluding CAT marks. You need to have score above min otherwise you won't be eligible for further evaluation irrespective of your CAT percentile. IIM B gives a very high weightage to work experience so it's also very complicated.

  • For other old IIMs like IIM L, K, I you need to score above 99 percentile. Again among these IIM I gives a very high weightage to 10th and 12th marks even more than CAT marks which reduces your probability of getting call. IIM K also gives more weightage to work experience not like IIM B but it prefers work experience people.

  • For New IIMs you need to score above 95 percentile and aim for higher in order to convert your call.

  • To get a call from private colleges like SP Jain and MDI Gurgaon you need to score above 98 percentile to get a call and convert it.

First of all, your Grad %age will play a spoil sport everywhere, so check the eligibility criteria of each college separately. Assuming a General category candidate, You will need really good percentile 95-100 as a range for different colleges to cover your lag in graduation. However, your background will surely help especially im SP Jain's profile based shortlisting. Target that.

Yeah thanks for your valuable response.
My Graduate avg percentage for 4 years is 55. But in Final year (B.E.) it's 60. Which one should I consider while listing the colleges Overall Avg or just final year ?
