Is NIOS Senior Secondary degree accepted for admission in Symbiosis, Ferguson and other reputed institutions?

Hii,

Most of the reputed institutions, do not prefer NIOS students for their regular courses. You should have passed 12th class in regular from a recognized board to apply for admission to these institutions. But you have the option to apply under the distance learning.

Thanks.I would still like to know that why is it so when NIOS is a recognized board by HRD ministry with a syllabus at par with cbse

Yes, NIOS is a recognized board, But some reputed institutions prefer regular students only. It depends on the eligibility criteria of a particular institution. So, check the eligibility criteria before applying to an institution.Thanks!!!
