Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology (SCIT Pune) was established in 1999. The institute is also known as SCIT Pune and is affiliated with SIU Pune, Maharashtra. SCIT is a constituent of Symbiosis International Deemed University (SIU) and the institution is UGC approved. SCIT Pune is accredited with grade ‘A Plus’ by NAAC in 2009 & reaccredited in 2014. Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology campus is spread in an area of 5 acres. The vision of the college is to develop knowledgeable students who make meaningful contributions to society. The institute offers M.B.A. IT and Business Management, M.B.A. Data Science & Data Analytics and Executive M.B.A. IT courses. 

The college has partnered with many organizations that help in collaborative reforms. It has tie-ups with numerous international institutes and offers a foreign exchange programme to the students. For extracurricular activities and events, Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology has various clubs and societies. The college is located at Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, MIDC, Hinjewadi, Phase 1, Pune, Maharashtra. The nearest airport is Pune International Airport with a distance of 13 km. It takes around 25 minutes to reach the campus from the airport. Shivaji Nagar Railway Station is the nearest railway station to the college with a distance of 3 km. The closest bus depot to the college is Hinjewadi Infosys Phase 1 Bus Depot, which is situated at a distance of 1 km.

There are various clubs & committees in SCIT Pune. Students can take part and choose any of them based on their interest and preference. At SCIT Pune, the clubs also help the students in learning essential skills which will help them in their future.

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Club: India has diverse languages, culture and religion. The club helps in promoting mutual bonding enriched with the system of unity in the nation.

Matrix Club: The club promoted the importance of information security and spread security awareness among students. The club also organises cybersecurity awareness month.

ISACA: Information Systems Audit and Control Association engages in globally recognised knowledge practises for the information system.

Team Eklavya: It is the theatre club of SCIT. It organises many activities like dramas, plays and nukkad nataks.

itself Committees: IT Entrepreneurship and Leadership Forum helps students to bring forth their IT-based entrepreneurial skills.

Sports Club: The main aim of the committee is to motivate students to participate in and organize sports events in the college.

Drishtikon Club: The club is open to all grasp the learning of thoughtful leaders. The club believes in collaborative learning and knowledge sharing. It conducts various sessions on finance, marketing, business strategies and upcoming trends.

Toastmasters Club: The club allows the student to work and hone their presentation skills and public speaking skills.

SCIT Pune Facilities and Infrastructure

Facilities and infrastructure play a crucial role in the academic journey of students. Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology facilities ensure students do not face any difficulty during their time at the campus. The institute has a central library with more than 9,800 books on tech and management. SCIT infrastructure includes an auditorium which best suited for conferences, seminars and annual programmes are conducted and has a seating capacity of 400. The cafeteria offers hygienic foods to the faculty and students. Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology hostel facilities provides safe and secure accommodation to the students. The institute has a separate hostel for girls and boys.

Apart from all these facilities, the SCIT Pune facilities list also includes facility for various indoor and outdoor games. The outdoor games that are played at SCIT are cricket, tennis, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton and the indoor games that are played are table tennis and chess. The well-maintained swimming pool is there for the students. To make sure students remain fit and healthy, Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology has a modern gym on the college campus. All the basic healthcare facilities are there on the campus with a qualified doctor.

Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology Courses

A total of three courses are offered by the college at PG level. SCIT Pune courses are M.B.A. IT and Business Management, M.B.A. Data Sciences and Data Analytics and Executive M.B.A. IT.  The college offers management stream courses. The duration of M.B.A. courses is 2 years. On the other hand, Executive M.B.A. IT programme is of 2.5 years duration. SCIT Pune courses fees and eligibility criteria varies from course to course. Both the M.B.A. programmes are offered in full-time mode and Executive M..B.A. IT course is a part-time programme.

The college offers admission to  postgraduate programmes. The basic eligibility to be considered for SCIT Pune admission is that the student needs to pass graduation in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks. After that for Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology admission to M.B.A. programmes the student needs to appear in the SNAP and apply online to register for admission. If you get the required cut off score, the would then be called for the group exercise, personal interaction and writing ability test. Students performance in the SNAP, group exercise, personal interaction and the writing ability test is considered for selecting candidates for admission.

The college offers an ample number of scholarships to its students. Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology scholarship is given to students who are in need of financial assistance and belong to reserved categories. The students who are graduates from IITs will be awarded a 20 percent scholarship on their tuition fee.
