Cluster University of Srinagar was established in 2016. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It has five colleges under its administration providing education to students in various departments namely Amar Singh College, Srinagar (School of Humanities and Liberal Arts), Abdul Ahad Azad Memorial College, Bemina, Srinagar (School of Social Science), Govt. College for Women, M.A. Road, Srinagar (School of Engineering and Technology), Sri Pratap College, M.A. Road, Srinagar (School of Science) and Institute of Advanced Studies, M.A. Road, Srinagar ( School of Education). There are four other colleges which are affiliated to CU Srinagar namely Govt. College of Engineering and Technology, Safapora, Ganderbal, Govt. Degree College Goripora, Hyderpora, Srinagar, Govt. Degree College Alochi Bagh, Srinagar, Govt. Degree College Eidgah, Srinagar.

Students of Cluster University of Srinagar, Srinagar have also conducted various programmes under this scheme including international yoga day, blood donation, leprosy campaign, swachh bharat, literary campaign, mass cleaning, mass tree plantation, road traffic awareness, sand sculpturing, polio vaccine, disaster management, PFMS training etc. to spread awareness among the common people.

Cluster University of Srinagar, Srinagar Admission Procedure:-
Cluster University of Srinagar, Srinagar admissions are offered to undergraduate programmes based on the performance of students in Common Aptitude Test (CAT) and merit of the qualifying exam and to postgraduate programmes based on the merit of the qualifying exam. Admissions to integrated programmes are offered based on the Common Aptitude Test and subject-specific paper conducted by the university. Students also need to get their documents verified and pay the admission fees before getting final admissions to the university.
