Delhi Technological University (DTU) Delhi campus has a large number of facilities for students and faculty members. DTU ensures students spend a comfortable time at the campus. Delhi Technological University facilities and infrastructure are modern and upgraded as per the latest standard for the use of teachers and staff.
Well-equipped laboratories, a huge library with a brilliant collection of books and journals, knowledge park, gymnasium, cafeteria and hostels are some of the DTU facilities. Delhi Technological University has 9 boys hostels. Every hostel has its own common room and gymnasium. Additionally, every hostel subscribes to the latest magazines and newspapers for the residents. The hostels are connected to the campus via the campus wide wi-fi network and LAN which enables the residents to browse the internet and access the online library resources for their academic and research related work. Delhi Technological University has 6 girls hostels. The hostel rooms are sufficiently spaced and are well-equipped with all items of basic necessities. The hostels have access to wi-fi for the ease of students. There is round the clock security. The total capacity of the girls hostel in DTU is 334.
DTU has a full-fledged 20 bed hospital block. Services of two medical practitioners are available to the students throughout the day. The college invites specialised medical practitioners for ENT, eye, dental care, nutrition experts once a week.
DTU has an ultra-modern gymnasium with high-tech equipment. The gymnasium has been refurbished recently and new equipment like digital electronic treadmills have been added to the impressive setup.
In the university campus, there is a central library containing all the books required for student learning. Along with the automation of library services, DTU has moved towards the digitization of library resources, so that the services of Virtual Library and Knowledge Centre may be provided parallel with the traditional library.
The university has excellent sports facilities for the students. DTU has a 450 m. track, ground for football, hockey, cricket, two courts for volleyball, two courts for basketball, three courts for tennis and five courts for badminton. The sports council organises the festival “Arena” for large-scale participation of students in several sports every year.
The centre possesses a number of servers and over 200 Dell intel core i5 computer systems. In addition the centre has more than 15 servers hosting different applications such as websites & portals, SPSS, Mathematica, MatLab, DNS, LDAP, proxy, Email services, Network Monitoring System (NMS) and others. and 4 SUN CAD workstations meant for use by students for their projects and research work.
Student's Alumni Cell (SAC) DTU, is a student body that was formed with the aim to brigde the gap between the alumni and current students/University. This body will be responsible for conduction of all the events related to alumni and students in the University.It will also act as the Alma mater's representative for the alumni that will be available to help them out for any kind of academic/administrative work in the University.
Wi-Fi facility is available in campus. All academic buildings, library, administrative blocks, residential buildings, and all the hostels of DTU are connected using optical fibre links and around 95 Wi Fi access points.
The State Bank of India (SBI) has a branch within the college campus to cater to banking requirements of the students. All the banking transactions are carried out within the branch itself.
The Indian Post has its office within the campus to cater to the mail related needs of the DTU community.
The guest house within the campus is meant for the staying purpose of individuals visiting DTU. The rooms are comfortable with all modern facilities available within.
The auditorium has a 500 seat capacity which is used for organising events, talks, felicitations and award functions for students as well as faculty members in the university across many departments. They also organise events such as group yoga sessions for health promotion.
I am currently pursuing Chemical Engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU), and my experience with the college infrastructure and facilities has been highly satisfactory. DTU provides all the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and equipment required for both academic excellence and overall development. The classrooms are spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with modern teaching aids such as projectors and audio systems, which make lectures more interactive and engaging. The Chemical Engineering laboratories are well-equipped with essential instruments and machinery that help students gain practical knowledge alongside theoretical concepts. These labs are regularly used and are properly maintained, ensuring a smooth learning experience. The university library is another strong point, offering a vast collection of textbooks, reference materials, research papers, and digital resources. It provides a quiet and comfortable environment for studying. Additionally, DTU has excellent sports facilities, including grounds and courts for various indoor and outdoor games, encouraging students to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. The hostel facilities are also quite good. The living spaces are clean, well-maintained, and provide a comfortable environment for students. Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure hygiene across the परिसर. The food served in the mess is generally hygienic, with decent variety and quality, catering to the needs of students. Overall, DTU ensures that its facilities are well-maintained and effectively utilized, creating a supportive and enriching environment for students.
College infrastructure as well maintained and airy the infrastructure is semi modern and contain all the basic facilities the college campus is green and and clean the overall hostel experience is also good it contain all the facilities and the boys hostel and girls hostel are separate.
The college has very good infrastructure, including labs, library and sports facilities like basketball, cricket and GYM. The campus has wifi facilities which is very good for students and the campus is well maintained.
Yes, you can secure admission in lower-ranking branches like Renewable at iiT Delhi, Bombay, Roorkee, NIT Trichy, Surathkal, DTU, etc. The lower branched less rankings compared to the highly competetive branches.
If you have a domicile of Delhi or studied 11th and 12th from Delhi, then yes, your kid has chances to get admission through JAC Delhi .
