B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering at DY Patil International University, Akurdi Offline Course

The B.Tech program in Computer Science & Engineering at DYPIU is a four-year full-time course with multi track specialization option in ten emerging technologies powered by Artificial Intelligence. Our futurist Vice Chancellor, Prof. Prabhat Ranjan designed this program after worldwide consultations with researchers as well as representatives from various universities, public/private industries, and startups.

The All India Council of Robotics and Automation (AICRA) awarded this program the prestigious ‘Best Academic Innovative Curriculum for Higher Education’ award. Below are some of the salient features of our B.Tech program. Our multi- track specialization system for Bachelors in Computer Science & Engineering has been well appreciated by AICTE.

Unique and Innovative features of the B.Tech Program

Artificial Intelligence (AI): AI is introduced as core subject to all students in the form of intelligent systems. AI runs as a thread through all the specializations offered in this program. For example, Robotics and AI together, looks at how to build smart Robots that can see, hear and think. Similarly other tracks of specializations may use AI in different application domains such as Transport System(intelligent transport system and logistics), Biology (Bioinformatics), Finance (FinTech), Data Analysis (Data Science) etc. 

Multi Track Specialization: Students are given an option at the end of the 3rd semester (not at the time of admission) to choose one of the specialization tracks to make sure that they exercise this option after getting a better understanding of various choices. In each track, students would get to learn 8-9 subjects to get in-depth knowledge. Due to our focus on AI, we would introduce “Python” as the programming language of choice in the program.
