Ph.D Biotechnology at Gujarat Biotechnology University, Gandhinagar Offline Course

Candidates who have completed M.Sc./MTech in biotechnology/anydiscipline of biological sciences or qualifications declared equivalent to the Master’s degree in biotechnology/any discipline of biological sciences by corresponding statutory/regulatory bodies , with at least 55 % marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed or equivalent qualification.
• A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the UGC Ph.D. Degree Regulations (2022).
• In addition to the above, candidates should have qualified any of the following
examinations and hold a valid fellowship offer will be eligible to appear for interview:
➢ Joint CSIR-UGC test for Junior Research Fellowship (CSIR/UGC JRF)
➢ Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (DST-INSPIRE)
➢ DBT Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF Category-I)
➢ ICMR Junior Research Fellowship (ICMR-JRF)
➢ Any other valid national competitive fellowship offered by Government of India
will be eligible to be called for interview as per the UGC Ph.D. Degree Regulations (2022).
