Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya is pretty new ,so the campus infrastsucture is definitely a work in progress right now . that being said the current facilities are honestly quite good , and you can easily see it becoming a top tier campus in the next few years as construction wrap up . what makes it super unique and special is that its a railway-speacialized university and is that its a railway-specialized university ,so everything tailored around transportation and rail engineering, the classrooms ,hostels and living spaces are clean and overall setup is incredibly promising for the future.
the academics are good especially since its a specialized rail engineering unversity . the biggest advantage is learning directly from a visiting faculty members who are serving or retired railway officers.
since its relatively new university , the average placement package isnt sky high just yet. however the placement cell is quite active, and we are seeing a lot of new companies coming to the campus for recruitement drives every year.
The campus itself is incredibaly beautiful and green seeing peacocks roaming around is normal , everday thing here. when it comes to sport , the college has provided excellent value for money with a newly renovated synthetic badminton court as well as a basketball court and volleyball courts. the hostels are 2-3 shared students and they come with ATTACHED washrooms which is a massive luxury compared to standard college hostels.
campus life is vibran with a lot of student run clubs covering evrythign technical projects to cultural activities .
Gati shakti vishwavidyalaya is a highly promising ,speacialized railway university .while the campus infrastucture and placements are still developing , the unique curriculum and modern faciliteis make it worth .
Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya offers a unique mix of heritage charm and modern technology, as it operates within the lush, green campus of the National Academy of Indian Railways (NAIR). The environment is serene, well-maintained, and conducive to learning. The academic block features smart, fully air-conditioned classroomsequipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, projectors, and interactive whiteboards. The university is rapidly expanding its state-of-the-art lab facilities, computer centers, and a rich central library tailored for transportation . The hostel life at GSV The air-conditioned, well-furnished rooms (mostly double-sharing) come with attached bathrooms, LAN ports, and reliable high-speed Wi-Fi. Cleanliness is strictly maintained with regular room cleaning services. Security is robust, offering a safe environment for both male and female students. * Mess & Dining:The mess facility stands out for serving 4 meals a day featuring a rotating menu of both North and South Indian cuisines. The food is consistently hygienic, balanced, and prepared in clean dining halls. Overall, GSV provides a comfortable, tech-forward, and supportive campus experience that lets students focus fully on their education.
The faculty at GSV are exceptionally supportive and always ready to guide students. Beyond lectures, teachers mentor you through projects, career decisions, and doubts, ensuring a personalized and highly engaging academic environment. N
The placement scenario at GSV is growing rapidly. Supported by a central university status and Ministry of Railways backing, major recruiters like L&T, Siemens, Alstom, and Mahindra Logistics visit campus. The average package sits comfortably around 6 to 7 LPA, making it a highly promising choice for engineering and transportation careers.
The infrastructure is in a developing phase, being a new college some things lack as per standards, Hostels are very nice with ACs in every room, Mess facility is decent. There is a palace and many gardens in our campus.
The proffesors are highly qualified and supporting in nature, the learning is not only classroom focused but also there are several field visits to various places every semester so as to connect with the industries.
My branch is EE and we are first batch up for placement, before that only ECE, ME, CE were there for placement. The placement is decent with mix of private and govt, compaies comming up in the railway and transportation sector
1. Classrooms: Limited classrooms with no fixed classrooms for our batch, leading to frequent room changes, but now new Academic Block is been constructing, so hope in future we don't have this problem. 2. Laboratories: Labs were 4–5 km away, requiring travel by college bus for every lab session. 3. Hostel: The three-sharing hostel rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-maintaine.
Academics: Students had a comfortable schedule with around 2–3 hours of classes and 2 hours of lab daily, leaving sufficient free time. The faculty were supportive and met the expected teaching standards.
Placements: As a relatively new and developing college, placements are still growing. Currently, most opportunities are from private railway-related companies, with expectations of more IT companies visiting in the coming years.
Value for Money: The college offers good value for money. Overall, it is worth it and provides facilities and opportunities comparable to many lower-tier NITs.
Campus Life: Campus life is good, with student-run clubs and opportunities to take initiative. The first half of the year is more active with club events, while the second half focuses on academics. As a new college, students have the chance to introduce new ideas and make a positive impact.
Final Advice: If you're interested in railway-related fields such as signalling, this college is a good option. The curriculum is a blend of engineering and railway subjects, so choose only if it matches your interests. With new labs, an academic block, and hostel buildings being added, the college experience is expected to improve significantly for future batches.
The construction of new Acad block, Labs, library, hostels etc. are expected to be completed by december this year. However, currently classes are being held in Manthan, and in old Acad vblock which are very well equipped with ACs and WIFI. The old labs are sufficiently managed with some of the labs being present outside of the college. In terms of Sports so there is one small ground is there on which both cricket and football is played. I think from sports point of view the facilities and participation is less. The mess food is good in quality so you will not have much problem there.
The academics here are hectic. You will not get much free time to explore other things. Also some of the professors are very strict about academics, they won't allow you do extra curricular activities. However, the curriculum the college follows is on par with IITs
Since it's a newly established college so some of its branches like AIDS, EE, AE etc. have not yet been passed out so there is no placement records of them as such. But if we look at the placements of ME, ECE, CE so the college does give 6-8 LPA average. Every year almost 100 percent placement takes place.
It's ROI is very less as compared to other colleges as it's still new and in its establishing phase. But in the future it will grow. The fee for 1 sem is almost 1.5 L
The campus is lush green having Prastuti palace at its centre. The best feature of my campus is that its aesthetically serene. The Senior to junior relationship is very healthy. There are various clubs in the college like Business club, Tech club, Music club, Dance club, Debate and quiz club etc. So it keeps the student busy.
College have all the necessary infra, facilities and more infrastructure are building in campus . Classrooms are fully equipped by Air conditioning and smart panel to make understand visually. Strength of classrooms is 100-110 approx. College have library in very good condition, sports centre are also there sports like , cricket, football, vollyball, handleball, badminton, table tennis etc Hostel look like premium for first student with.wifi and AC but from college hostel is about 10 km bus is provided by college facilities every day first year students will come college for classes in bus from hostel. Living space you find clean but after 2-3 month of hostel you find some issues with foods but if you complain it will again good.
I am an Aviation Engineering student here . Academic of this college is great, professors are very serious about academic here . I think you will get best experience of academic here . Little bit competitive environment in classrooms , because of this student really do hard work in academic constest.
Placement in this college is easy one to crack . If you do your work in proper manner and maintain cgpa you will easy get placed but instial package is about 6-8 lakh as per now , it may be increase further Approx 90-94% student get placed.package of 8-9 lakh per anum is highest here from ece , mechanical College have a lot for placement, companies of core branch is coming for placement
Approx 2.5 lakh per year fee of colleges and hostels It is worth when you do hard work here and crack placement, i will rate 7 out 10 to college courses fee and placement package.
Campus is avarage here it is in 55-60 acer and yes you will free to move or play in college campuse . College have greenery, garden a nice palace it all looks like pretty, some restriction are in this college.
Outstanding with all the facilities and great greener lots of this to explore in college and great city vadodara great college recommend to everyone for joining and wishing u a better future, college
Hard but great the faculty members are knowledgeable, approachable and supportive. They explain concepts clearly using both theoretical and practical approaches. The curriculum is updated regularly ..
THE PLACEMENT CELL IS ACTIVE AND Continuously works to bring companies to campus students receive training in aptitude, technology, coding communication all are great and mock interviews. Many got internships before 4th year
For me its yes
Out standing..great friend great city
Best college to recommend
The infrastructure is developing rapidly, with new academic buildings and laboratories being added regularly. Classrooms are modern and air-conditioned, and the campus also provides a library, medical facilities, and student counselling services. At present, first-year students stay in hostels outside the campus because the new hostels are under construction. The hostel rooms are air-conditioned and have the necessary basic facilities. Once the on-campus hostels become operational, the residential experience is expected to improve further.
The curriculum at Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya is updated regularly and focuses on practical as well as theoretical learning. The university has collaborations with industries and academic institutions, which provide students with opportunities to attend guest lectures, workshops, and internships. Most faculty members are knowledgeable and supportive, and many have experience from reputed institutes. The coursework is rigorous, so students need to study consistently to maintain good academic performance. Overall, the academics are well suited for students who are interested in engineering and emerging technologies.
Placement opportunities have improved over the years, especially for students from core engineering branches. The university also encourages students to gain industry exposure by offering internship opportunities from the early years of the course. Many students secure internships and placements through their skills, projects, and training. While the placement record is improving every year, students should actively work on technical skills, internships, and certifications to maximize their career opportunities.
Considering the quality of academics, industry exposure, internship opportunities, and the affordable fee structure of a Central University, I believe Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya offers good value for money. Students who make the best use of the available opportunities can gain strong technical knowledge and practical experience.
Campus life is enjoyable, with a good balance of academics and extracurricular activities. Students can participate in technical clubs, cultural events, hackathons, workshops, and sports throughout the year. Facilities for indoor sports are good, and the campus also has courts for badminton, basketball, volleyball, squash, lawn tennis, and table tennis. Although the football and cricket grounds are comparatively small, they are well maintained. The overall campus environment is friendly and encourages learning and collaboration.
College is having some great things when it comes to infra and especially the projects which are almost completed with construction like the new acad block and the lab block feels eloquent and premium, a lot of facilities are provided on board only including wifi, food, clean water and everything and cleanliness is at highest priority of the college
Academics will be rated at a very high scale and is defined by both the faculty and the students and we are having profs from world class institutions with great research fields with high accommodation for research interests
Placements are indeed a very big of Engineering college life and though our college is trying a lot hard but in the present job market, already established institutions are facing bad placements but still our college seems to go pretty well
Absolutely, it might seem a bit high but given the returns such as the Completely Ac hostels and also the complete college is having Ac and more or lesss it is quite worth it the given price tag of 10 lakhs approx for a span of 4 years
A great campus with a lush green campus of 55+acres and a lot lot of greenery and many a animals and like a place where we can see peacocks dancing while rain occurs, it's quiet rare and a great view to have on campus
The infrastructure of the college is very good. The campus is clean, green and well maintained. Classrooms are modern with projectors and proper seating arrangements. The hostel facilities are excellent, with spacious rooms, Wi-Fi and good basic amenities. The library has a decent collection of books, and the laboratories are equipped with the required equipment. Sports facilities are also available, making the overall campus environment comfortable for both academics and student life.
The academics at GSV are good and the overall learning environment is positive. The faculty members are supportive and always ready to help students with their doubts. Attendance and discipline are taken seriously, which helps students stay focused on their studies. The curriculum is well structured, and if you attend classes regularly and study consistently, it is not very difficult to score good marks.
The placement opportunities at the university are average. Since the university is still growing, placements are not at the level of older institutions. Students who work on their technical skills, maintain a good academic record, and complete internships have better chances of getting good offers. Overall, placements are decent but there is still a lot of scope for improvement in the coming years.
The overall ROI is a bit on the lower side at present. The fees are reasonable, but considering the current placement opportunities, the return on investment could be better. I hope it improves as the university grows and attracts more companies.
Campus life is enjoyable with a good mix of academics and extracurricular activities. Students can take part in technical clubs, cultural events, sports tournaments, workshops, and fests held throughout the year. The campus atmosphere is peaceful and pleasant.
