72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Doctoral program and it is offered by Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should have passed in M.Sc./M.Sc.(Ag.)/M.Tech./M.E. in Agronomy / Water Science and Technology/Water Management.
Admission Details
Admission to the Ph.D. courses in 26 disciplines shall be made on the basis of the performance of candidates in the written entrance examination (80% weightage) + academic score (10% weightage) + interview (10% weightage). Entrance examination will consist of one paper of three parts : Part I (General Agriculture) and Part II & III (Subject Paper) and academic score shall be calculated on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in various examinations from matric (X standard) onwards.

College Infrastructure
As a student of Indian Agricultural Research Institute New Delhi I can say that all the infrastructure of this university is amazing and top notch like the library is a very nice place it contains more than lakhs of books related to agricultural field, campus is fully Wifi covered, classroom of IARI has smart boards and classroom are air conditioned, Hostel is also present for every student in this university.

The Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi India is a top-notch university for your agriculture studies it provides us a big and beautiful library whose name is MS Swaminathan central library in which there are lakhs of books related to agricultural studies the University also provides you hostel facilities and university also gives you sports playground for cricket, football, badminton and other sports it also have high speed Wifi in the campus
