72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Doctoral program and it is offered by Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should have passed in M.Sc./M.Sc.(Ag.)/M.Tech./M.E. in Plant Genetic Resources / Genetics / Plant Breeding / Agricultural Botany / Horticulture / Plant Biotechnology / Seed Science and Technology / Plant Physiology / any other branch of Biological Sciences with specialization in these subjects and/or Plant Taxonomy / Economic Botany/Biotechnology.
Admission Details
Admission to the Ph.D. courses in 26 disciplines shall be made on the basis of the performance of candidates in the written entrance examination (80% weightage) + academic score (10% weightage) + interview (10% weightage). Entrance examination will consist of one paper of three parts : Part I (General Agriculture) and Part II & III (Subject Paper) and academic score shall be calculated on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in various examinations from matric (X standard) onwards.

Indian Agriculture Research Institute Of New Delhi is top rated university it gives students a 24 hours opens Library in which there is more than 3 lakhs books the university also have a big sports ground for sports purpose it also has seperate hostel for boys and girls our university have a centralised wifi system which is available for all the students our university also provide many other facilities
