Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management is one of the key long-duration Degree programmes offered by IIM Bangalore. IIMB has been offering this programme since 2002. This unique programme integrates public policy and general management skills and promotes cross-learning between professionals from the Government and Non-Government sectors. Senior officers of the All India Services and of State Governments, as well as, professionals from social, infrastructure and private sectors will find the programme useful in strengthening public policy and managerial skills, especially in the current scenario where the boundary between the public and private the sector is growing progressively less distinct.

IIM Bangalore has a deep commitment towards teaching and research in the area of Public Policy, and the PGPPM was introduced along with the establishment of the Centre for Public Policy (CPP), with initial support from the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India (GoI) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Eligibility Criteria

For applicants from the Government, the norms would be as notified by the DoPT.
For Non-Government Candidates: A candidate must have passed the Graduate (minimum 50%) with a minimum of 5 years of work experience, preferably in a Public Policy domain as on 31 March.

Admission Details

Selection would be on the basis of academics/experience/performance in CAT/GMAT/GRE/IIMB Test and interview.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure and facilities are better than other colleges. Each floor and each room are well-equipped with Wi-Fi. Labs are well-managed and up-to-date with technology. Classrooms are better than usual classrooms, equipped with ACs .The library is quite impressive as it holds a large number of books to choose from. The facilities in the hostel are very good. Proper maintenance and cleaning are done on a regular basis. The food is good and very healthy with hygeine facility.

College Infrastructure

The college has very beautiful campus area which is very useful to students for stress free education . The class rooms are good and there are the necessary facilities . And it also has a Library with a lot of books .
