Getting into IIMs has always been competitive however that has been the case for the general PG course which is based on CAT scores and subsequent WAT and PI. However in recent times IIMs have realized that specialization is the need of the hour. This is result of diverse adoption of technology expertise across industries which has led to tech knowledge becoming the primary driver of performance. What this has led the IIMs to do is partner up with academic partners to develop specialized courses specific to industries. For example, the
IIM analytics courses (https://mileseducation.com/analytics/home)
by IIM Lucknow are developed together with Wiley innovation council and IIM faculty. Further these courses are customized for business leaders who have the
IIM business and data analytics course (https://mileseducation.com/analytics/IIM-Lucknow)
while there is another custom
Analytics course for finance and accounting professionals (https://mileseducation.com/finance/IIM-Lucknow-Analytics)
. Since these courses are exclusively designed for an industry, the enrollments do not see the generic competition based on CAT scores. You can

and apply for enrollment.
Interestingly these courses give you the IIM Lucknow alumni status as well.
All the best.
