Jagannath University (JNU) came into existence in 2013. The University is established under the Haryana State Legislature Act No. 8 of 2013. It is authorised under Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956 and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The educational institution provides various courses in different disciplines of programmes.
JNU Jhajjar offers various courses through its different departments. These courses are Diploma, UG, PG and Doctoral programmes in the areas of Engineering and Technology, Architecture, Animation and Design, Commerce, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and Mass Communication, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Agriculture Science, Computer Application and IT and Vocational Studies.

The college infrastructure is small, the canteen is not that good but bearable. The wifi connection is little poor. Now there are hostel facilities also. The classrooms are spacious. Laboratories are also available for computer classes. There is no auditorium. Buses for commuting students. Numerous club activities are also available.
