It does not have its own campus and is running in a temporary building but will have one soon. The industrial interface is good, a significant number of guest lectures take place. The hostel should be nearer to the college. Fees are very high, very difficult for the middle class to afford. Teachers are good, interactive and as the number of students is not very high, the student teacher ratio is good.

I have joined the university just a month before but the support and love given by the faculty, seniors, and classmates make feel so comfortable and free. The teaching staff is good and the teaching method adopted for every subject is apt. The hostel makes feel like home and staff is our family itself. The University provides good educational environment and spirit of competency.

Mind blowing experience

Here at Mnlu the life is very happening. We have just so much work to do that we hardly get time to waste idly. The teachers at Mnlu MUMBAI are just fantastic, they always help the students in every step. Since there are only two batches here so the students are less and thus the teachers are able to give good attention to every student. The hostel OF MNLU MUMBAI is at parsik Hill which is a fantastic place to stay, just the problem is this that it is a bit isolated and ya, of course, the wifi speed at the hostel is great. The students here are really fantastic and very very cooperative. The college is very serious about studies and I am very sure in a very less time this college will be among the top law colleges in India. The college is trying it's best to provide as much exposure possible to the students and there go on many activities in the college in which the students actively take part and thus the communication skills of students also improve a lot in this college.

The biggest advantage is the close proximity to the High Court of Mumbai, the unique course which is tailor made to make students well equipped with both theoretical and practical aspects of law in both litigation and corporate world. The college is in it' second year since it's inception and has already started with the PG diploma course in clinical legal education taking long strides in filling the lacunae that loom large in all other colleges and making legal education a comprehensive experience

The Leap of Faith

Batch of 2021 | BA LLB Hons
It has been a month last Tuesday since we joined MNLU Mumbai. Initially, we had the doubts and questions regarding a new NLU rather than opting for the already established NLUs. But going by my father's opinion, the record of the NLUs situated in Metro cities, and the "Mumbai" factor left no doubts. It’s been only two years and MNLU Mumbai has made it to the top 10 NLU cut-offs of the country. The university lacks infrastructure when compared to other NLUs, but the administration tries its level best. The best thing we like about MNLU is the people associated with it. We are like a family. If you face any problem, you can approach directly to VC Sir!! Same goes with the faculty and the admin folks. The course, although hectic, in these five years, Moots, Debates, Snap tests, Assignments, Terms and various other things will have you occupied and gradually you’ll be hardened to an extent where you can handle any amount of work assigned to you by any corporations or law firms under the sun. The classes are full of heated debates and discussions, and often our Profs patiently let our ideas be heard although they know we are going off topic, occasionally guiding and moderating the debates, at the end of the period, you will realise that unknowingly you have learnt the topic by the discussions. Another good thing is, introvert or extrovert, nobody feels left out. The Profs provide a chance to literally every person, often getting the answer from them which even they hadn’t thought they will be able to answer. Presently we share the TISS Campus and we have access to the TISS Library, which is probably one of the best social science libraries in India, For sports, we have courts, gymnasium, Yoga centre and playgrounds. We hope to get our own campus by 2017, but the TISS campus has become such an essential part of our life, it will be really hard to leave. But still, what makes MNLU so special? First of all, Exposure. It’s been just a month and already I've done a project on DRT, Mumbai, chief Magistrates Metropolitan Court, Court of Small causes , attended a guest lecture from a Supreme Court judge of USA, had classroom lectures from the best criminal/civil lawyers practising in Bombay High Court. The occasional cultural programmes make it further enjoyable. Experience, Not only studies, we have various societies associated with Drama, Debate, Moot Courts, Literature, Music, and Sports. Almost every person of MNLU is somehow a part of at least one of these societies. And Experimentation, our VC sir, strikingly comes up new ways to explore the beauty of law and new methods to incorporate law into our daily lives. The Legal clinic, inaugurated last week is one of the many steps taken by MNLU to use the law as a tool for the upliftment of the society. Hostel life. The thing which personally I love the most. The entire hostel is student run. There are various committees regarding Mess, Transport, Library, and Logistics. We decide the food we eat, the books we require and various recreational aspects. Going by the educational aspect, we have 4 professors residing with us whom we disturb 24/7 with our queries but still never once they have protested. The rooms are fully furnished and air-conditioned with Geyser, Wi-Fi, and other essentials, we have our own library and our debate society. We organise debates, moots and discussions regarding the current affairs. (Which often goes on too late or loud.) The scenic beauty is breath-taking. Surrounded by hills and greenery, one can spot an MNLU'ite simply sitting on his veranda for hours. One will never feel that he is not a part of MNLU. Either the night before project submissions, or assignment, or preparing for the debate, the hostel never stands still...every action contributes in one way or the other to the making of a lawyer. So if you ask us, yes we suggest MNLU to every law aspirant who wants the 3 Es, Experience, Experimentation and Exposure, Join the MNLU Parivaar!!!
