RGNUL offers B.A.LL.B. (Hons.)Five-Year Integrated Programme where under Social Sciences subjects like Economics, English, History, Political Science and Sociology are taught as major and minor subjects along with Law subjects in the first three years of study. From the third year onwards, the curriculum comprises of Law subjects and one major subject. All subjects are compulsory in the first three years of study. However, in the fourth and fifth year, students are offered specializations in four streams, viz., Business Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, and International Law. The successful students are awarded Honours Degree with specialization.

RGNUL follows the Semester System. The teaching methodology includes extensive and intensive classroom teaching with an emphasis on participative learning. The Courses include assignments, seminars and project work. The thrust of the course is not just on learning but also professional training.

Admission Process

The Admission is based on the merit in the Common Admission Test (CLAT).

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination of the Punjab School Education Board or its equivalent with minimum 45% marks in the aggregate (40% marks for SC/ST).
The age of the candidate must not be more than 20 years in case of General and 22 years in case of the SC/ST and PWD Candidates.

The overall experience in the college is good but the faculty is not good. It is not that all teachers are not up to mark but some teachers are so bad that you will end up sleeping in the lecture. Earlier the level of professors was good but now the study level is not good and moreover the college is 6 days a week from 9am - 3:30 pmand you just can not get time for other activities of your interest. The platform is good, you get lot of opportunities like debating, mooting, writing research papers etc but the point is no proper committed we have for organising intra debates. Overall the life on campus is difficult because it is located in the midst of village where you don't have proper access to eating joints. The mess food is not good. Earlier , there was a lot of commutation problem also to go to city but, that has been resolved because of autorickshaws standing outside the university though they charge heavily for it because of non availability of other means . The infrastructure is good in the university facilitated by a.c. in hostel rooms as well.

At the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, I had a wonderful experience of last 4 years. In the college, there are various programs with national and international scholars organised by the college itself. the teaching methods and materials used in the College blend the theory and practical learning. I am happy to be a part of this college as it provides a lot of exposure and also the most important part as a professional a good amount of package depending upon the ability of an individual. Also Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab has been accredited with 'A' Grade scoring CGPA of 3.32 out of 4 points by National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore (NAAC) in 2015.

The name itself makes it shine like a diamond. It has very benefits attached with its name. Also, it provides facilities that make it shinier. It provides good faculty, good mooting culture, industry exposure. College is also good here as the college crowd is good. Hostel life is awesome as we have ACs.
