The overall experience in the college is good but the faculty is not good. It is not that all teachers are not up to mark but some teachers are so bad that you will end up sleeping in the lecture. Earlier the level of professors was good but now the study level is not good and moreover the college is 6 days a week from 9am - 3:30 pmand you just can not get time for other activities of your interest. The platform is good, you get lot of opportunities like debating, mooting, writing research papers etc but the point is no proper committed we have for organising intra debates. Overall the life on campus is difficult because it is located in the midst of village where you don't have proper access to eating joints. The mess food is not good. Earlier , there was a lot of commutation problem also to go to city but, that has been resolved because of autorickshaws standing outside the university though they charge heavily for it because of non availability of other means . The infrastructure is good in the university facilitated by a.c. in hostel rooms as well.

A National University

At the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, I had a wonderful experience of last 4 years. In the college, there are various programs with national and international scholars organised by the college itself. the teaching methods and materials used in the College blend the theory and practical learning. I am happy to be a part of this college as it provides a lot of exposure and also the most important part as a professional a good amount of package depending upon the ability of an individual. Also Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab has been accredited with 'A' Grade scoring CGPA of 3.32 out of 4 points by National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore (NAAC) in 2015.

RGNUL is a synonym for State of the Art infrastructure. Besides infrastructure, it provides many other facilities to students. it has a very good mooting culture. It provides industry exposure as well. Because it is an NLU it also helps in securing internships.

This college is probably the best in terms of infrastructure for a law school. The college crowd is pretty good and the only drawback is the faculty and the inability of the college administration to provide internships and placements. There are only a handful of good teachers, while the rest are pretty mediocre.

One of the best infrastructure any college tries to create for them. Full Wi-Fi campus, air condition classes as well as hostel rooms, well-constructed buildings are some general features of the university. But what makes it different from another university is its huge library (best example of modern technology ), first national Law university for being awarded A grade by NAAC, well-equipped gym, and many more things. What I have experienced after coming here is that it provides you with all those things, which a young generation think of for their college. And as it is far away from the city making the atmosphere very pleasant. Late night matches(RGNUL FOOTBALL LEAGUE, RGNUL BASKETBALL LEAGUE etc) are also some prominent events here. So no doubt if one say that it is one of the most amazing universities( just like what one feels in IIT's ) in the country.

The college infrastructure is good and the facilities are in par with the fees. Thus it is affordable. The placements are decent enough, many students go for judiciary and civil and many also get PPOs. The college life can be more happening if regular fests are arranged. The college offers many activities such as moots, debates, sports, etc.

The College life has been a life experience for me. If someone asks me to go back in time and change things of my college life, I won't like to change anything because in my opinion I have not done anything which is regreatable to me. I have got such a golden opportunity to be successful in my life. Here in my college I have got some of the best faculties of the country who are very well experienced in their field. Here in my college I have got an opportunity to utilise such library which has got almost all the books related to my field even I have got free access to some online database research sites. Infrastructure of the university is such that even an outsider who hates law wants to be a part of our college. For me it'll be a life experience.

The RGNUL life is not very awesome but good. Due to location it has some restrictions for the students. Administration is strict here. But in terms of opportunities it is very good. I enjoy the guests lectures that the college conducted . It was a lecture given by Mr. Mohan Peiris , former Chief JUstice of Sri Lamka. Also our college is organizing TEDX talks and the first speaker chosen is Mr. M.C. Mehta. So my overall experience till now is very good and I hope more good about my college.

The college has one of the best buildings but it is a new college so fewer alumni and comparatively less experienced teachers. Overall it is a good college. There are very good faculty members as well and the college library and staff are well equipped and the college also has a very good computer lab and a very comfortable hostel. The experience here was a very memorable one and the crowd is really smart and the college is growing by every passing day. The students are smart and intelligent and the placements are really good. The alumni base is increasing and due to which the placements in the coming years will be even better. The campus is surrounded by lush green fields in sidhuwal village and there are many eating joints in the college itself and outside the college too. It is a green and beautiful campus and the teachers and students are very helpful and friendly with each other. It is like a family away from the family.

Law school was all about self-discovery, the good, bad and ugly. Away from home, when you are a stranger to the world, is when you find out who you really are. You get to meet people from all over the country and it's really quite an experience living in a truly cosmopolitan environment. Some of these have turned out to be people I will treasure for life. I am grateful to RGNUL for them. We have an incredible campus which made absorbing, both the good and bad, easy in air conditioned rooms. Not been so lucky with the mess food though which is somewhat made up by the authentic mouth watering Punjabi cuisine served at extremely affordable rates at dhabas and eating joints of the city. I wish we had a more practical way of learning the law which is what I think a significant drawback of the curriculum. The overall experience of law school has been rich and if I had a Time-Turner to go back in time, I wouldn't change much.

Observed real personal growth in terms of widening intellect

The college provides AC facilities in the hostel and in classrooms, the infrastructure here is a class apart. Though with time now a cultural/ technical fest is a must to add industry exposure, and greater efforts to increase placements should be number one priority. A contemporary study of each subject, greater encouragement to innovation will lead to more dividends. Student participation in organisational capacity can be promoted further. Affordability is ample as expenditure on food/accommodation/studies is one time- rest are add on's subject to the student's discretion and self-control. Activities other than mooting/debating like MUN's, tech fests etc can be encouraged to develop all round skills. Interaction with alumni securely placed and doing well should be arranged. In totality, its a relatively new institution with a strong infrastructural and student and faculty base eager to do well, and with time and hard work will surely build a good name for itself.

RGNUL, the college with state of art infrastructure. The faculty here is good but not at par with the NLU standard. It has a very motivational ambience for mooting. The cultural committee of the college organises many events at the college level but the only thing missing here is an NH-65 type fest. It also promotes sports.

RGNUL is one of the top most law universities in the world. It is renowned for its infrastructure and the A.C. hostels. This college has pretty good mooting culture. the faculty here is also very good. Students get exposure during their internships and being in an NLU helps in scoring good internships. Although, the fees charged is pretty high but then it is an NLU.

The college life in RGNUL, Punjab is good enough. The hostels, infrastructure, and all other facilities are appreciable but when it comes to the faculties, i wouldn't appreciate it much. No doubt, there are few faculties which are excellent and i can't help appreciating them but their number is very less in comparison to the faculties which are bad, faculties who either don't know how to teach or they don't have any knowledge.

The college is a mix of beautiful landscape and even more beautiful campus. The college provides gives abundant opportunities to learn and grow through almost weekly seminars and conferences, active research centres and law review. The college follows a dual semester system hence the academic study isn't that burdensome, therefore a lot of time to do what one what's to do. At the same time, the college has its own set of problems. The faculty isn't up to the mark for some subjects. The college follows strict discipline which makes it inconvenient at times to do as per wish. But overall, the life here is comfortable.

The university needs a lot of improvement

Batch of 2019 | BA LLB Hons
Our VC is only concerned with infrastructure and not academics. A lot of money is unnecessarily wasted in beautifying our campus. There are reflectors planted on the roads even when there are very few vehicles (since students aren't allowed to bring their cars inside the campus) and traffic jams don't take place on a regular basis! There is a huge tower emitting light in the middle of nowhere. An unnecessary construction since we already have street lamps on the roads. There are also academically unhelpful fountains near the entrance of the university. Yet there is not a substantial expenditure taking place in improving the academics in our university. Excepting a few, most of the professors are of pretty average quality. In spite of being a National Law University, most of the faculty members are from Punjab itself. More effort and expenditure should be made in improving the quality of professors teaching us. Professors from all over India should be recruited. In spite of having a humongous library (I am talking about the size of the building), the number of books is proportionately deficient and of obsolete editions. The students are barred from forming a students' association even when Article 19 guarantees to every Indian citizen the fundamental right to form associations! The placements are disappointing. A dismal number of students (10-15% of a batch) get placed in good companies and reputed law firms. Others who get placed are offered PPOs because of their own capabilities and not because of the university's assistance. The committees in the university are dormant and don't undertake enough projects. The fees are exorbitant. In the beginning of the new academic year (2016), the fees were hiked by Rs. 17,100 when it was mentioned in the prospectus that fees will increase only by Rs. 5000 at the beginning of every new academic year. The administration is tyrannical and unreasonable. A student who uses unfair means in only one paper, all the other papers he has appeared for in that semester gets cancelled. The punishment is highly disproportionate to the graveness of the offence and, therefore, unjust. The number of student intake has been increased drastically during CLAT 2015 in spite of the university's lack of capacity to accommodate them. The former small single occupancy rooms that were allotted to students from 3rd year, have been converted into double occupancy rooms for the new batch of 2021 who has joined the university after clearing CLAT 2016! And students who were promised allotment of single occupancy rooms from their 3rd year are now allowed the privilege from their 4th year. The only good thing (worth mentioning) we have in our university are air conditioned hostels and nothing else. The university needs to improve a lot. We need intervention from higher authorities in order to change the prevailing conditions in our university. (Note: Our VC is trying to appoint his wife as the Registrar. Isn there conflict of interest in that appointment?

Looking Inside RGNUL

Batch of 2019 | BA LLB Hons
The best part about RGNUL is its infrastructure. Well, if I talk about infrastructure then the best words to explain it is 'state of art infrastructure.' Moving to academics, there is a dearth of quality teachers. The standards of NLUs are quite high so standards of expectations from them are also high. All the NLUs charge a hefty sum of money for providing education. So, does RGNUL but the opportunities provided (faculty) are not at par with the fees charged but I guess this is the case with many other colleges. And it is the college where we have to work hard for ourselves. But because it is an NLU it helps a lot in securing good internships. Also, the mooting culture is pretty good here. It prepares the students in a very professional way that the students do not find it very difficult to adjust at the workplace after college. RGNUL's students have secured jobs at reputed firms and organizations and the internship cell is in the process of connecting with them as the internship cell is yet in its nascent stage. It is doing pretty good work. The placement cell of the college is also developing. Students have secured jobs at reputed firms and organizations like Amarchand Mangaldas, etc. I would like to conclude that RGNUL is developing and its state of art infrastructure will blow your mind.

The University provides all essential units of infrastructure required in a law school starting from on of the best moot court rooms in India to air conditioned classrooms, canteen, seminar hall and plus the new auditorium is being constructed presently. The university in order to improve the industry exposure can invite partners from leading law firms and have guest lectures delivered by the prominent persons of the legal fraternity of India. The college life has improved already as compared to last semester by lowering the time students can go out of the campus which is 2 pm right now. The university can certainly improve the college life by increasing the time by which students have to be back in the campus. And when the auditorium becomes functional, movie screenings can be allowed. Placements from college are few and to better if the university should build a robust alumni network and ask the alumni to bring their companies to the college for recruitment. In the alternative, the alumni network can help students secure internships where they are presently working. The hostel rooms provided by the university are one of the best in India. They are spacious and air conditioned. The wi-fi facility certainly isn't good at times in the hostel which can be improved upon. The university professors should teach in the context of present day times and relate the topics to real life situations. The student diversity is one of the greatest perks of studying at our university. Having students from all corners of the country certainly brings different viewpoints to any topic. The diversity also makes the student interaction interesting and more informative. The university is affordable since being a statutory university it received grants from state and central government to build its present infrastructure. Now the students' fee is used to run and manage the university. The exposure and opportunities which the university provides make the university worth it.
