Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) has a robust system for the placement of students on the campus. The RGNUL Patiala placement process is as follows:

• Communication or Establishing Relationships -The Placement Cell will send invitations with tentative dates of the event to recruiters along with the placement brochure and relevant information. If the need arises, organisations may share the dates of their presence at the campus to be accommodated in the recruitment timeline, communications being made through placementcell@rgnul.ac.
• Pre-Placement Talks -The campus placement cell organises an orientation programme to make the potential candidates aware of the recruiter’s vision, career prospects, compensation package and many more. 
• Pre-Interview Screening - Pre-interview screening is conducted by the placement cell at the behest of the recruiter. The process may include virtual interviews, group discussions, written questionnaires or any other processes that the recruiter considers necessary.
• Offers and Formalities - In line with the finalisation, the recruiter shall be required to intimate offer(s) made to the students solely through the Placement Cell. If the recruiter deems it appropriate, a waitlist may be disclosed along with the final offers.
• Finalisation Interviews - Following the Orientation and the shortlisting, the recruiter shall proceed with extensive technical rounds of interviews. The recruiter may also formulate a waitlist of students who may be interviewed if the selected applicant is unavailable for the interview.
