About Rama Devi Women's University, Bhubaneswar
The Rama Devi Women's University Bhubaneshwar was set up in 1989 by Act No. 5 as a state university. The college was given a grade A by the NAAC on September 16, 2004. The University was again given a grade A in its accreditation in February 2015. RDWU aims at providing excellent education to women, particularly those coming from the rural areas and those who are economically weak.
RDWU Bhubaneswar is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has signed MoUs with a number of universities and research institutes worldwide and in India. Rama Devi Women's University, Bhubaneswar provides various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral study programmes in the areas of engineering, science, humanities, commerce, and management.
The courses offered at RDWU Bhubaneswar are B.Com, B.Ed, BA, B.Sc, MA, M.Com, M.Sc, MBA and many others. Admission to postgraduate courses will be through the Common PG Entrance Test conducted by the Odisha State Higher Education Council (OSHEC).
Rama Devi Women's University has consistently increased the number of students placed in jobs from its three-year undergraduate programmes. The last three years have seen a remarkable hike in the number of students being placed, going up from 72 to 197. At the same time, the median package has increased from Rs 2.9 lakh to Rs 3.5 lakh.
