72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy(Ph.D.) program in Pharmacy shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned offered by SAM Global University, Bhopal.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in the relevant subjects with a minimum of 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/OBC) or equivalent grades are eligible
- Candidates for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy must, at the time of application, hold a Master's degree with at least stipulated percentages as below or an equivalent grade of the University, a deemed University or any other University incorporated by any law for the time being in force and recognized by the University.: (Five per cent marks will be relaxed for SC / ST and Handicapped candidates).
- Candidates for admission to the PhD programme shall have a Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions.
- Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. course work with at least 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in the UGC 7 point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and successfully completing the M.Phil. Degree in the University in an integrated programme may be admitted to Ph. D programme.
- A person of the MP University who’s M.Phil. The dissertation has been evaluated and the viva voce is pending may be admitted to the Ph.D. programme.
- Candidates possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M.Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign Educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to PhD programme.
- A candidate shall ordinarily be permitted to work for PhD. Degree in the subject in which he/she has obtained his / her Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology / Applied Sciences or other streams.
- Provided that research work leading to Ph.D. degree may be allowed in allied subjects of interdisciplinary nature of the same Faculty or of allied Faculty. Provided further that whether a subject is allied or not to the subject in which the candidate has: done "Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering / Technology / Applied Sciences or other streams, shall be decided by the Academic Council
