Saveetha Dental College for Dental Surgery was established in 1988 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and is one of the constituent colleges. Recognised by Dental Council of India, this institution is co-educational which is doing a promising business in the field of dental education. There are total 660 students in the college including 513 at undergraduate level and 147 post graduate students thus diversifying it’s student population. It is apparent that a greater number of female students enrol in the university; for UG students 68% were female while the PG students were 71%. The college provides 10 programs in two programs to focus at different dental disciplines. Saveetha Dental College provide various programs in the field of dentistry. Currently the institute offers one undergraduate programme BDS and nine Postgraduate programmes Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) in the following fields.

For BDS programme, the candidate has to clear the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET UG) only. Also like MDS, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS (NEET MDS) is done for all the MDS Courses.
