Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Tehri is a state university and established by Government of Uttarakhand in 2012. The University is committed to disseminate the advance Knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities and take appropriate measures for the promotion of innovations in teaching-learning process and inter-disciplinary studies and research. It has also established linkages with industries and research organisations for the promotion of science and technology in the state, and pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions. The university is situated on the way between Chamba and New Tehri at a distance of 3 km from Chamba, This town is situated on Delhi-Gangotri national highway.
The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses in engineering and technology, commerce and management, science, education, vocational and physiotherapy and pharmacy. The admissions to these courses are offered through the various modes which include, entrance exam conducted by SDSUV, qualifying examinations and national level entrance examinations.

The nearest airport, which is linked to Delhi is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, which is about 80 km from the university campus. Rishikesh is the nearest railway station at a distance of 65 km. The college infrastructure is on an average and you'll be finding good atmosphere everywhere. The classes are well settled with necessities required in study. Hostel facility is there and rooms are good there. The food served in the hostel is also average but the quality can be improved. The campus is neat and clean. You'll be getting all types of facilities like library, sports, wifi, etc.
